Not 1", 1-inch, or Type 1-inch or something else (anybody claiming the latter designations is mistaken), so it carries specific meaning. However labeling the diagonal of the sensor as 1" is blatant lying, the diagonal of Type-1" is indeed nowhere near 1". The illustration also seems more than acceptably exaggerated as the sensor seems to be almost as large as his thumb nail, certainly larger than his index finger nail, while 13.2mm*8.8mm would be around the size of a typical pinky nail. I just measured my right index finger nail and it's about 19*12mm, and I'd say mine's on the small side.

        Cant even count how many times I hear "my phone is slow".
        Even from basic users.
        Even from people that have used S series.

        Samsung phones are slower than other phones with same SoC to do same tasks. And do not come with excuse of UI with more functions because it does not impact performance. Note has never been slower than S series despite having extra stuff related to the S Pen. And motorolas and pixels were never the fastest phones.

          Xiaomi is not. Xiaomi has made clear more than once that about 75% of their total sales are phones that cost less than $400. Now imagine the little % the devices over $700 count.

          Decisions are also based on financial point of view. This device would easily be 15-20% more expensive outside China. Sales may not be enough to convice the financial department that it is worth to sell worldwide.

                        There was no need to mention Apple there. Could just list the name and size. Or better, not even use as example, but instead the 1/2" from mi9.
                        The love xiaomi has for Apple seems to be bigger than universe. When should be smaller than an electron.

                        Xiaomi should just do their stuff and forget Apple exists.
                        Also, pointless to try to make fun of Apple like " Oh look, ours is much bigger than what iphone has! "

                        Crap iphone 13 alone probably generates almost same revenue than entire xiaomi. Kinda dumb to try to mock who is earning N times more while doing way less efforts.

Obviously most of youtubers did not, you can count on fingers the ones that understand anything related to photo/video quality among youtubers that do not work as photographers.

                                      - cmos based on one used by RX100 7. So it obviously would have same specs : 20.1MP, 2.4 micron, DRAM inside , 3:2 shape
                                      - 12MP output , 12MP + 2.4 micron does not match 1" ..
                                      - thin cam bump despite 24mm and phone barely has more than 8mm thickness.

                                      Anyway, it is advertised to have 1" exmor. It does.

                                      I hope more brands make single cam cameras like Sharp. I would easily choose to have more space for larger battery or more heat pipes over multicam setup .

                                        I don't u derstand why they put silly macro lens instead of a native tele. Stupid decision. I was seriously considered 12S Vanilla to S22.
