Well looking at the comments no one seems to be happy and it not even out yet this could still be in the making.i find that SE phones are really good the quality has always been amazing i have had a few SE phones not amazing ones i had the Z530 and the k700 i now have the k850i and they all had amazing music players and i could get a adapter for the 3.5mm jack for £2 quid so i dont see why it bothers people it not included cos the standerd jack is just fine.i bet the camara is good to i bet sony eccison are saving a good phone for towards chrismas it wouldnt surpise me lol
lets just be happy that they made a good phone if you dont like it dont buy simple really

I dont really care about 3.5 mm jack. All what i really care about is sound quality which im sure that will be PERFECT

It's useless if the sound quality is Lame even there's a 3.5 mm jack port built-in. As my P1i got Megabass, I'm very satisfied with. Plus it's got a nice camera with AF. Sony ericsson was the first to add the 3.5 mm audio jack if not in its phones but in there headsets. These headsets are available for lower midrange phones by sony ericsson which can play the music. You can plug-in some large speakers, woofer in the audio jack. whereas if you take it nokia for example does have the audio jacks but in higher end phones. And the sound quality is also not pleasin' as against a sony ericsson

Its just that SE doesn't implemented it as built-in. I really don't know why people making such a big fuss out of it and in fact its a non-issue. And yes theres brand that already had it built-in yet can't provide them with a decent sounding headset and opted them to use high-end headphones. Simply put, it's either or neither nor.

my W810 had, I think, the best W class camera.. the photos where great. Now that i have the P1i, the photos it makes are way behind the w810...

Well, this goes to show that even top manufacturers make mistakes sometimes. This petty Nokia-Sony Ericsson war should stop. Each brand and phone has its strengths and weaknesses, yet it's really up to the preference of the customer.
And just a question: Is the W902's music capabilities, being a Walkman phone, match up to the one found in the Motorola ROKR E8? The E8 already beat the mighty Apple iPod hands down in music clarity, so can the W902 or any Walkman/XpressMusic phone match up to it?

Listening to music using a phone with a 3.5mm standard port has always been a hassle and problematic for me (answering calls, continuing to play the music, suddenly playing music loudly, etc) except for the one nokia phone that I use to own (still not a smooth process though).
I think it is a smart move by SE to stick with using the port that they are using now. You can always fit your own headset or earphone on an SE walkman phone but the ones they provide to you is already good enough. While listening to music, all you have to do is push one button on the headset when you receive a call then talk and press it again to hang up. No need to bother looking at the screen or ruin what ever position you were in while relaxing listening to music.

lame even iphone also own a 3.5mm music jack, don't say iphone, sony product walkman(not phone) also using 3.5mm music jack. don't tell me ur p1i speaker louder than hifi speaker bodoh!
i haven't see any famous speaker company using sony ericson fast-port yet.

@ Shimura, I agree Bro!!! i love my w810i keep looking for an upgrade but can't find one, w890 looks close but does not have AF hope this phone will be the upgrade: cool music w/ great camera all in 1 package =) i'm also eyeing on the w910i

I remember ever tried Nokia 5310, my friend's own. I wanna advice that it would be better not to attach any camera modul as it taken tooooooo loooonggg to save the pics into its MC. Can you hardly wait for 30 seconds??? Not me.... My own P1i is 4x faster with higher resolution to save it to MC.
Nokia Fanboys, don't ruin this kinda news with your crappy stuffs... pleeaasssseeeee...... LOL

Ev... moreAS for this 3.5mm jack war between nokia and se, i prefer se route as it does not bulk up the phone, for example remember the N80? have you forgotten that brick of a phone, and nokias take on hard drive phones didnt really take off either. As for the earphones supplied with phones, i have to say SE are the best because i just bought an ipod and they are the worst headphones and ive already bought an extension lead and fitted in my SE instead!

Hey guys, it may not suit everyone but for w810 fans this looks like the autofocus walkman phone we've been waiting for, i went to K800 them N73 but still went back to w810. hoping this w902 can finally be my upgrade!
