Anonymous, 16 Jul 2008unique design, very attractiveI've read this preview and it is posted on mobile-review.com and it's a russian site and you know them russians they love mercs and nokias :) They've always been shortloved of SE and I'm not suprised at their reaction at all. I think the phone is just great. The first one that I really am urged to switch to from my 3 year old W800i. I do not want OS, stylus, leather applications, screens in need of magnifying glass etc etc. So w902 the perfect PHONE.

I am also using acceptance unit of W902 and I can say I like it - if is very functional, and bundled earphones are offering better sound quality than usual k or z series SE earphones. phone build quality is great. camera pictures seem to be pretty good quality, screen is good and it comes with usual great usability of SE phones. and high speed 3g is nice. there are some things that I would like to be settled in market release - such as I cannot lock the dedicated player keys in the side of the phone, and lil bit sad that it does not come with build in GPS, but otherwise it should be good phone.

Each Sony Ericsson phone is made for one thing...if u wanna Cameraa then dont think about dedicated Audio chip...if u wanna that then loose the Camera...wanna PDA and then get only the OS without anything....
Sorry Sony....HTC and Samsung and even LG is better for me...
Nokia is better too but the Price is too much for its end phones..
iPhone didnt get my interedt too..only the user interface is great.

the reviewer might not hav liked it but i knw sony rocks... atleast the software dusnt crash al the time lik symbians in nokia... and the batery life is much beter than what samsung offers and quality of phones is much beter than lg... its a walkman phone nd its gna be gud... by the end of the day its gna be abt sound output.. and sony always rules that....

I miss the SE simple modern design, even the old K600 is still more beautiful than this one. The w810 effect design should be stopped by now.

I think phones like this have potential, if only SE invested in top music quality. Just imagine if this was the best quality music phone! The design isn't bad. I want to see a Walkman phone that has it all including an audio chip, 3.5mm music jack, IR, BT, GPS, a big screen and decent onboard memory!
As it is, the W902 just looks like an average phone with an above average camera. SE are relying too much on their brand image these days and not what people really want.
I think SE should have a 3.5mm jack as well as the propiatry headphones / charge / usb port.

The phone is great and the sound quality will be same with SE W980. Thats what i read from fans site of SE

look just cause you say SE phones are crap don mean your a nokia fan, it don take super eyesight or genious instincts to see that every SE phone looks the same, hell the guy that said if you've seen one SE you've seen them all, and you know they never pick up on the same stuff, like a bigger screen or even 3.5mm audio jack....man what is this..a walkman phone that doesn't have hardware to produce good music..its a 5mp shooter so its gotta be flagship music right?..every world becomes currpt even the mobile world....things like Apple walk in and fool everyone or phones such as these pop up....what a world man

Vaan, 16 Jul 2008Sony Ericsson should really work on their phone designs the... moredude every cellphone firm....has it`s own design....lg samsung are more based on looks and trend`s..good....many people buy them.....SE is more based on the functionality of the fones..because the phone is made for using it not disply it in front of all other people and say "mine looks better"....

according to me sony ericsson is good in design n its menu i mean user interface but they really have to upgrade there screen colors like still they r working on tft they dint went for 16m colours like nokia n samsung have went for plus there is a need of standard 3.5mm audio jack [built in]so that one can enjoy a good music m a fan of SE but nokias express music r better in sound then SE so please SE do some thing about theese things plz ....

I feel both SE and Nokia are going down Motorola's trail... same old boooooring designs!!! Companies like Samsung, HTC and Apple are taking the spotlight now!! Out with the old, in with the new..

All these phones have become boring - Nokia, SE, Samsung, they dont have the X factor like(i know i shouldn't be saying this) the iPhone and htc Diamond have. it's about time we get something new - some value for our hard earned money. Has technology come to a standstill or are SE designers suffering a MENTAL BLOCK?
Unfortunately, I have £400.00 to spare - & I STILL CANT FIND A DECENT PHONE - thats more than $ 770!!honestly, i cant believe it!

Seriously, SE needs to work on their designs and features. I used to be a die hard SE fan, but with their latest line ups, I am far from amused. I recently bought a Samsung i450 and I'm loving it! If SE keeps on producing sucky phones, I'll be sticking with Samsung.
