There is an old saying: "What's worse than having a sh*tty choice to make? Not having a choice at all". Just leave the old options for people to choose, it's not like those consume a lot of phone's memory.

NeonHD, 16 Aug 2022Lol I'm just waiting for the triggered One UI lovers o... moreWhy would someone triggered over someone elses st*pidity.

Imagine spending minimum 800USD on a phone without seeing first its interfaces and features. He/She even has 4 months time before launch of S22 to know how newest pixel looks like.

S22 is literally a phone from this year and One UI has its own design language since 2019.

It would be more understandable if comment made by older Samsung phone user (S8/S9 Series) and complaining about One UI 1 upgrades.

In conclusion, its either fake comment or total st*pid.

PorkBelly, 16 Aug 2022I love my S22 but honestly I’m jealous of Pixel owners just... moreThat your fault for buying S22 in the first place. One UI IS not Pixel, and never will be.

There is a reason why samsung has biggest phone market share, that because most people like One UI design and features.

Only very small percentage of user (fewer than 1% ) like stock Android design, hence why pixel and sony are brands with smallest marketshares worldwide.

'Apps won't get access to your entire media library just to be able to share one item, your clipboard history gets automatically cleared "after a period of time" if you copy sensitive data like your email, phone number, or login credentials, and apps are going to have to explicitly ask you to allow them to send notifications, rather than having that ability by default.'

Finally doing what IOS has done for years

Just what kind of restrictions are they gonna add here? Some of my apps can no longer see files downloaded on the sd card while the rest had their own download directory that is inaccessible to file managers.

This is turning into a kindergartner OS.

Since past few years nothing big changed this going to be same. Literrary since android 7 or let say 9 its looks like same with few tiny innovations not many will use or spot unless they are heavy tech geeks.

Ugh. Why not bring back the old quick settings buttons, instead of forcing those humongous bricks onto us? And while You're at it google, bring back custom lock screen watches back too.

I already have it on my Pixel 4a and 5a. Didn't out it on the 6a yet since you can't downgrade. Seems like a small iterative update. I hope the dock gets fixed in custom ROMs.

The custom ROMs on the 7T do not seem to be very good either, as they boast about being "bug free", and yet I reports of features such as the camera or earpiece speaker not working, which are quite vital features if you ask me. Custom ROMs are not how they used to be tbh

There are pros and cons to choosing either a Samsung or Google phone. Their philosophies are different. Just like iOS and Android. I carry an iPhone and Galaxy Note daily and dislike stock Android ! I'm still wondering how I ended up here because I almost never read Pixel articles 😃

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2022Brother, Android 11 or OneUI 3.1 in my case was significant... moreThis comment only reaffirms why I never updated my Flip 3 to Android 12 / One UI 4. Still on Android 11 / One UI 3.1.1. SamSprung still works fine although I've read it works on One UI 4+. Each time I get the notification asking to update, I just press update later even if I never do it.

And I hope my Razr 5G never gets Android 12 even though I'm aware of a lot of owners begging for it. This Android 13 just looks more of the same from 12. Still ugly. Still caters to female Zoomers featured in Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022).

All these bad moves by Google is actually making it easier for me to go back to a dumb phone. An era when I was happier, focused, and more in control.

PorkBelly, 16 Aug 2022I love my S22 but honestly I’m jealous of Pixel owners just... moreMy T-Mobile app isn't working properly on my S22. Anyway yeah I do prefer the Pixel UI much more. S22 is good and very close to stock android 10 or 11 but it's no where near the aesthetics of my P6Pro.

Once upon a time having an update was exciting but nowadays it just brings uncertainty. My LG v60 mobile hotspot doesn't work anymore after it's recent update rendering that phone useless for me. My Tesla has had 3 updates this month and it's barely the 16th of august. After every update my stream account doesn't work for a few days. Hardware has reached a point where it's way good enough for most people's daily needs. However software is no where near where it needs to be.

PorkBelly, 16 Aug 2022I love my S22 but honestly I’m jealous of Pixel owners just... moreLol I'm just waiting for the triggered One UI lovers out there to berate this comment. Never really liked One UI either, aesthetic wise.
