If you really believe huawei is a great company, why cant huawei create its own OS, Chipset, etc. like Apple?
Even samsung is far better than huawei, because samsung creates its own parts from chipset, screen, camera sensor, memory, modem, etc.
The only reason is because huaweis actually a mediocre company, like other random chinese phone maker. Mediocre brand for mediocre people.

But my next phone will probably be Honor because it's practically Huawei and has Google Services (without tricks). Would still prefer Huawei because their UI us more polished.

Had to replace the back a couple of times and although the phone complains that the battery is discharging too fast these days and that email is sucking the life out of it it still lasts me a full day with medium use.
Was hoping that they wouldn't be using the power hungry snapdragons in the mate 50pro. Also still confused how merricans can stop Huawei using 5G when they were heavily involved in R&D of it and the infrastructure that supports it.

Only chinese extreme nationalist love huawei phone these days. Even in china, only minority use huawei phones. Majority are using iphone or honor. Even in foldable market in china, samsung is in top position.

I think the notch is a good step away from the P50 Pro, which lost pretty much all the novel features the Mate 30, P40, and Mate 40 had in their pill punch holes. And yes, this notch will be bigger, but if this means better selfies, 3D face unlock, and air gestures....hell yes.
For those who are gonna flame this phone for being overpriced; I'll give you the answer. You should be blaming Trump for what he and his administration did to Huawei. And even now, Huawei is still fighting against all the sanctions thrown against them.
I fully expect another ingenious convenience trick to be introduced. That's what the Huawei Mates have always stood for. And they've had a whole extra year to develop the Mate 50, so this is gonna be good.
