with touchscreen becoming more and more common, it's coming to the point wherein things are beginning to plateau and not rise in innovation, much like the old days before color phones, then camera phones, then now touchscreens. real innovation comes once in a while and for the mean time we have to deal with what just suits our needs and taste. we only get excited and disappointed if we get caught in all the advertising hype designed to make us want what we don't need and expect better and better, faster and faster. just for me, it looks decent enough, but i'm not prompted to buy it.

Can the nokia people make more powerful and reliable batteries?the existing ones dont stay for long,especially for the N series.

There is not a single spec-wise satisfying Nokia out there with a decent price tag !!! Maybe Nokia 1100 or 3310 .You are just paying extra for the label get it ?

this is actually a smart move for nokia...as a samsung fanboy i could contend that this phone is inferior to the omnia and innov8 but by a small margin... it has the BASIC needs that most customer nowadays are actually looking forward with unannounced concept phones.. touchscreen(the new phone trend) gps, wifi, a somewhat decent camera with a good lense. Most ppl may think oh wow, nokia what a failure 3mp camera for a touch screen phone but the key focus here is MIDRANGE, maybe impying with a middle class price tag compared to their competitors. If u look at the xperia, omnia, innov8 or even c905 all of these phones have hefty prices, especially in the US market. So once again, this is actually a smart move for nokia making a middle class phone with a decent price tag(hopefully) compared to their competitors.

Wow Nokia touch...Sure i saw dis b4?Oh yeh...It looks like da Samsung i900 twin brother or sister!Nokia iz a real copy cat.Feature wise,nothing new!It's such a shame dat Nokia fans iz in an uproar with diz copy of da i900.Da Nokia tube cannnot beat a tube of tooth paste!Wat a shame...Da x-peria will surely b da boss!Samsung i900,great job!U have da leading brand on paper making there1st touch screen phone look like da i900.Doubt it got da features tho!Wat a shame...Long live SE!Again...Dis phone iz krap!Not2sound like a hater,but it jus iz krap!Cud a dun alot betta Nokia...Leading brand in sales&on paper!Duz dis look leading?Many will cum&bash me but the truth hurts...It hurt me2c such a blatant copy of Samsung i900.I said it already Nokia waiting2copy da 8mp boyz b4 dey launch their's.Mite b an Innov8 or c905 look alike!LOL...Shame on u Nokia!

why why why?? When are nokia gonna realise the industry is now focasing on 8mp camera phones why fetch this out with only a 3mp WTF!! Come on nokia catch up with sony ericsson and samsung!! Cancel this iphone reject and fetch a 8mp up to date phone out please please please!

This mobile seems very promising, I'm going to wait when available, I really like the design and features, maybe this could become the succesor of my 5700. I hope the price tag to be adequate, so this way this phone will be a bestseller for sure :)

if nokia says that this phone is mid-range with all these amazing features i wonder how there high end touchscreen flagship will be, if i'm right it will bury all the touch phones out there(if you know what i mean).

yes finally Nokia has respond to Iphone but will this be good enough to degrade Apple , it is the big question , if Nokia Couldn't make through and it will probably will no 1 else to beat Iphone , this images just a developing protocol of Nokia 5800 insha allah i m sure it would look more unique once it finish developing (remember Nokia N95 ), But from Right Now N82 is to hit hardly the Apple Iphone .
