SShock, 18 Sep 2022But is it really? There is tons of things that you can'... moreSo great that every year iPhone users slap their forehead thinking something is badly missing. I can understand. After buying an overpriced gadget, nothing more can be done except waiting for the next model "hoping" that the desired feature will be added by Apple. And, don't tell me iOS doesn't get bugs (my wife's iPhone 13 has already stopped notifications after the iOS 16 upgrade). And, don't tell me iPhone hardware never gets issues. Bendgate or signal reception issue, anyone? "Just avoid holding it in that way," - That's all Mr. Jobs could offer in regard to the reception problem.
That being said, I won't say Apple is slow. Apple MAKES it slow deliberately just to maximize profits. Just think about Apple's switch to USB-C from the lightning port. Boy, oh boy, Apple is going to lose $$$ because of switching to a non-proprietary HW (via 3rd party licensing, etc)! Guess Apple put the quad Bayer sensor in the base models (13/14). I could guarantee a whole bunch of Pro model prospects would buy the base model only...your figment of imagination here...
Peace...

Er, 4G? The iPhone 5 was literally the first there.
And while they weren't first with capacitive touch screens, it was the iPhone that revolutionised the entire industry with the implementation.

Heck, I fondly remember my dad's Nokia Lumia 925 (from 2013) had AoD with WRGB options for the text!😎 Meanwhile the recently released Apple watch makes such a deal about the Red coloured night mode!😂
And after an update (maybe Denim), it even supported displaying the wallpaper in a pixelated fashion (with perhaps only alternate pixels lighting up!)😍
And I clearly remember that it used the proximity sensor in order to activate/deactivate the AoD when in that mode (probably power-saving) or you could just keep it "Always ON"
And this is discounting the fact like you already mentioned about LCDs (transflective ones) doing it much before such OLEDs, but ofc you couldn't really see them in the dark! Again I distinctly remember the brilliant Nokia E71 (my dad's) had that "AoD" & that cool AF 'breathing notification light' as well!! 😍😍

dbjungle, 19 Sep 2022I'm in Europe and my Google Pay works fine. I'm ... moreIt's not what it accepts, it's how you can register a card with it. For Google Pay I'd have to fiddle around with countries and switch them later and do weird disabling of payment features just to add a card in my country, just because it's not officially supported. With Apple Pay, I've just added a card and it works, zero frils and issues.

Because we want something more for our money and don’t settle for less because we don’t need to.

[deleted post]Why people who got good income will only buy iPhones, lol? There android devices can be found more expressive. Try to say at least something that makes sense. And according to report, Apple products are mostly attracted by young people (mostly NA based). 43% is used by 18-36. Not gonna talk about under teens. Lol.
Yeah big number of parents money wasters.

Ac... moreYou literally have no clue and surely got love from another clueless named Trix. Cheapest aren't called under 300 range lol. Under 300 range Xiaomi most selling devices are mid range. Which aren't the cheapest ones aka low end models. The most famous mid range Xiaomi models are redmi note series. Not even low end models. Let alone the cheapest model you mentioned.
