Can't see any reason why the upgrade, when in Europe the prices are even higher. Even after 2 years since 3000 series came out, 3070 non-ti is still 800 euros, a card with 499 euro MSRP.

Meanwhile, I'm here still content with the 95W RTX 2060 Max-P from my Intel NUC 11 Enthusiasts SFF PC. Maybe I'll try out these new RTX 40 cards if I buy an eGPU enclosure.

Was anyone like me thinking NVIDIA was going too improve the vram amount
on the rtx 4090 & rtx 4090ti
I was thinking from all the hype there would be far more improvements
it's only got 24gb vram just like last years gpu
The level of power this gpu will pull from the wall and heat are going be insane
will the normal house plugs even be able too handle this anymore
I truly wonder what a quid SLI RTX 4090ti gaming PC performance would be like on benchmarks and games

2-3x on DLSS means nothing. Nvidia can adjust this tech freely, they also can add frame insert too.
Better wait for real review.

It'll be a huge increase in performance to GTX 1060. Or even something from AMD. RX 7600 or RX 7500 might be interesting if RDNA3 rumors are true. We'll see.

Nvidia is squeezing money out of gamer's
I don't like the state of the market for gamer's
From stupidity heavy and unoptimised windows 10 & 11 that won't run smoothly unless you have 32gb ram paired with crazy system requirements too game developers making games so domanding the rtx 3090 will struggle too get 60fps crysis remastered cyberpunk too red dead redemption 2 a few of the worsed case examples
Then there's the monitor market
There are some crazy good spec sheet monitors out there but
4k 120hz can it run crysis mode there's no way your going be able get a pc that can handle or drive that monitor in today's aaa games
Or what about 480hz 1080p I highly doubt anyway going too get there super smooth 480fps in red dead 2 it's unlikely this game will ever be smooth
I don't even think dual rtx 4090ti SLI pc would be powerful enough plus it bottleneck any CPU
Not too forgot almighty God like power supply u need that I bet even your house standard plug socket can't even support
The pc gaming market needs too change
Pc Gaming shouldn't only be for the rich
We shouldn't even need a GPU for games should be made lighter with potato settings opinions so they can run smoothly on any pc
720p & 480p 120hz GTG 1ms gaming monitors really should be made
GPU should be a luxury not a requirement

Big ,BIG FTHOOH to this company.
30xxx series are still sitting at 100 to 200% markups at retail in local and e-stores in my area. Greedy dirtybags here would rather keep selling to miners who no longer can run profitable global pollution rackets rather than actual users (gamers & content creators). And Ngreedia only incentivizes them to be large POSs with all of this god awful BS that anyone with half a brain cell can see for themselves:
- 4070 rebranded as 4080 to demand more money while giving less...
- 4080 AND 4080 Ti having lower BUS than 3080...
- MSRP jacked up from a peak-crypto baseline that has now collapsed...
- Crazy high MSRP until the 30xx inventory is cleared at a bloated scalper price and future plans to lower it with the mid-release refresh and screw the original buyers out of many, many $$$ in 6 month's time...
If so much of my work was not related to CUDA I would have only ROFL at this release, sadly I don't have that luxury. Imagine if AMD pulls a fast one on Nvidia with RDNA3 like they did with Ryzen on Intel...now that would be a sight to see for us common folk!

Complete scam.
1. Branding a 4070 as a 4080 12 gb just to be able to price it higher.
2. Huge price increase across the board.
3. Shady graphs without a reference for comparison and using DLSS instead of raw performance.
Jensen has to somehow tell the shareholders that the cripto boom wasn't just a one time thing. So the only way to try to keep earning as much is huge price increases, while still selling the huge stock of 3000 cards at the same price instead od releasing lower tier cards.
