Conderio, 10 Oct 2022Almost every phone with type c supports USB PD.
And phones... moreAnd now take an Oppo with 120 W charging and try Samsung's charger. Works only up to 10 W, not even PD kicks in. Xiaomi too. You want super fast? Buy our charger. Buy four of them, because you need it at work, in the car, at home, and one for travelling.
Too bad when a 12 year old is smarter than you. I'd rather buy four lightning cables...

Rosso, 10 Oct 2022Why oh why would they switch to only wireless charging........ moreWell, it was only about money. And it will always be about money.
They will just paint it nicely, for people to not be triggered. Some official BS, that they are doing it for the environment, they are doing it to save space inside the phone, etc.

notafanboy, 10 Oct 2022Want a fact? You literally brought nothing to the discussio... moreSo, you call prime lens (fixed focal length) as zoom lens , something wrong.
You get angry because someone tells you are wrong.
You get mad instead of starting saying the correct name for the thing.
But to you it is trolling.
For you to understand , simple example.
1) Galaxy K Zoom, Zenfone Zoom, Sony 1iv = zoom lens
2) S22 Ultra , X80 Pro = prime lens

This reminds me of some of the MacBooks that are very thin but need an oversized laptop carrying case for all the adapters. The iPhone product line is getting really clumsy for travel.

i predicted it a year ago here in a gsmarena chat! now it is an official rumour! they will abolish wired charging. what comes next? internal storage will be replaced with cloud storage? and what after that? will we return to 90's mobile phones' hardware level and pay 1000€ for it because of profit maximization, economical growth, capitalism etc.?

Is good that I moved away from iPhones. I will never buy a phone capable only of wireless charging and only with esim capabilities (like the future iPhones will be).
I just hope not all Android manufacturers will follow this trend. But, taking into consideration how many Android models are released per year, I am sure that some phones will remain with physical sim cards and wired charging. The same like you can still find smartphones with headphone jack.
I would rather buy a cheap smartphone that has this features, than a flagship phone without them.

blue, 10 Oct 2022I have four lightning cables and only the one from iPhone... moreAlmost every phone with type c supports USB PD.
And phones with Qualcomm SoC supports QC which is addition to regular PD and other Chinese makers who boast their Sufer duper fast charge are also a addition layer ontop of PD .
Even my moto edge 30 pro with 65w fast charge takes my mom's iPhone 20w adaptor and charges quickly.
Your statement regarding this is nothing but like a rubbish written by a 12 year old kid who doesn't know anything about usb power delivery l.

So they understand the waste that comes with having multiple charging cables. But they do not understand the waste of energy that comes from wireless charging... And even with USB-C all being "compatible" in the sense the sense the port is the same, a lot of companies have propietary charging technology (OnePlus for example) that is not compatible with other phones. It will still work most of the time, but at a much lower speed. All these companies care about profits, not the environment. And the government is too incompetent to understand these issues, seeing how long Apple had the lightning cable for... What a shame

Hanif Fikri, 10 Oct 2022Simple solution that people can't follow: stop buying ... moreThat's never going to happen. Apple can do whatever they want and people will still buy. I work with a network that sells iphones on contract. Customers will repeatedly come on the phone, whine about no SD card, no physical dual sim, no type c, no 3.5mm jack, no charging brick, no Bluetooth file transfer, no two year guarantee (one year only) and apple being the first to introduce integrated batteries. Those same customers will then proceed to sign themselves up to contracts for up to 80 or 90 pounds per month for an iphone 14 pro max. Just how it is. Apple have caught the imagination of consumers. They have positioned themselves as that aspirational brand that everyone wants to be a part of. Whatever it costs to do so.
