SShock, 21 Oct 2022I've had 1080p phones and they weren't any sharpe... morehighly disagree, you probably didnt see the difference because of the screen size. in my case, i used a samsung a21s which has a 720p screen and you could, without mutch difficulity, see the pixels. but when i switched to a 1080p screen on my s21fe, i had to put a lot more effort in trying to see the pixels, granted the s21fe us 1inch smaller, but this small of a difference doesnt make much of a difference in my point

Exactly. Surprrise to none. You could say that this would be exactly minimum that SE users asked for. Everyone is tired of that old design and they have to ditch lighting on whole line by next year (even old modells that they still produce and sell in EU). So they either retire those modells or update them somehow. This is probably their solution.

Huh. They could've done this 2 generations ago, would've easily been a hit among the new smartphone owners and maybe even take a chunk of midrange android users but no they kept that ancient outdated iphone 6 design, making people choose android alternatives.

Looks amazing, nice smooth comfy curvature to hold a phone. Will buy as a backup form my S22, if the price is right, around 250-300 euros

Woud of being nice if the screen size be like 5.4 inch or something like that. This 6.1 inch makes the phone big.
From 138mm tall 2021SE it goes to 150mm tall with the XR
Well at least battery gets bigger from 2018mAh to close to 3000mAh
To be honest it would of being better even if they use the Iphone X that is 5.8 inch screen as it be still smaller and close the size of the standard 13 and 14 that are smaller in size then the XR is while have that 6.1 inch screen on them too

You should reject the newer iPhones with 1080p OLED 120Hz displays since it adds no worthwhile value. Apple can probably just continue to release the XR indefinitely with a new SoC every year.

Rebuilding the phone for a reader would make it more expensive.
