Weekly poll: would you be interested in one of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 phones?

06 November 2022
There is something for everyone - a cheap phone, a phone with a 200MP camera, a phone with 210W charging and one that's more in the middle.

Buying new phone, you shouldn't care much about degradation you won't see visibly, only if you use phone 3+ years on ss charging.
Good news for you, you can also charge that slowly, at least there is choice, unlike others.

High resolution is getting tricky in mid range, processing matters and even edge30ultra not came out clean and thats 999 priced thing.
On the other hand this combines exciting new hw with down to earth configuration(no 2x zoom lens if you got 200mp camera), which is still easier to sell/buy than traditional (boring) 12mp.
But considering its uw camera is too underwhelming and price globally will be higher, I would probably wait for some alternative in price range of higher memory configuration of this.
One thing is definitive, its more cool than sony way of mid-range phones bringing 8+12+8mp, you can just laugh, lol.

Xiaomi got all of there prioritys very wrong

Faster charging = shorter battery life

It's a Know fact that fast chargering overheats and damages smartphone and hurts battery health

200mp camera manufacturing costs wasted adding too the overall price of the smartphones

when other more important specs such as storage are neglected you can't save many pictures videos taking from such high mp camera cameras

I beat the screen also is not 4k or 8k so you also can't see you're pictures in such high resolution either

I do hope people do have some common sense

      There's smartphones are very unbalanced

I think it could have been better if they used dimensity 1200.

The Android Freak, 06 Nov 2022What about Dimensity 930?havent seen review of that yet, that gpu is new to me.

I used and continue to use lots of Xiaomi products and they're fantastic. My brother has a 13 pro max, my dad has an iPad pro and airpods pro and a 2000 euros Mac computer. I've used them all.. No big deal to be honest.

No thanks, I’m good with my 13 Pro Max. If any one that knows me asks for advice, Xiaomi has become a brand to avoid nowadays, long gone is the time when they offered good products, now it’s a bad deal to even buy someth from them, their software has worsened a lot!
For anyone looking for some Android device, jest get something from Samsung or even Google(yes they are improving and bugs are not as common as before)

Had they kept the 3.5mm jack and microSD, it would've ended it up making a good flagship replacement.
But Alas... nobody's listening to we few the intelligent.

5 years down the line, I'm afraid even USB will be gone, in pursuit of the portless phone.

Then our mobile phones will become predefined-usage enabled toys... Not computers anymore.
