07 November 2022
US' sanctions make it virtually impossible for Huawei to be competitive in this regard.

You can't make pizza in your own house and you blame the butcher because the guy don't want to sell pepperoni to you. Nobody can stop you making pizza in your own house. You are free to make anything in your own house right? So you do something to get the da.m.m pepperoni. The butcher can sell or give his pepperoni to anyone he likes. So simple. Proofs has nothing to do in this matter.

Huawei was so close to becoming No1 throwing samsung at 2nd place when this happened. Just because US doesnt want chinese products doesnt mean the entire world doesnt want them. Asia in general got all this power cause of USA and EU. Everything is made in Asia due to greed/ bigger profits of US/EU and now out of nowhere they decided to increase taxes for Asian imports (mostly chinese) so local products have almost the same price as imports

connectivity and software are crippled so,huawei putting all resourse on an unregulated area, camera. but,it's not enough to make up for it. it's a smartphone, not a camera alone. they cannot charge a full smartphone price with all the limitations.

Anyway, they already able to fab 7nm which I was expecting would take them decades but it was actually fast in less than 10 years using older DUV tech. But guess what now US banning DUV devices provided to them.

Pretty obvious US dont want competition instead playing on an even field in the "supposedly" open market by US but instead they are dictating whose who.

It's funny people blaming the us. The us government didn't prevent Huawei making chip. Huawei can make any chip they want but without using us technology. If Huawei can come up with their own technology then go head. It's freedom. The question is CAN THEY?

It's a pity Huawei got kicked because of their arrogance. If they still support Open source development, they might still have a chance.

I do want to see a direct follow-up to the Kirin 9000E/9000 SoC. Even with my Mate 20's Kirin 980 SoC running EMUI 12, I'm really impressed with its overall performance especially when using EMUI Desktop Mode.

(With the government forcing companies to cut ties with Huawei) However, if America can pull off this sort of foul play, then China can do the same, with much more painful consequences for everyone.
