They also have other businesses in consumer electronics but what's most likely to fail is their mobile business if the current ban continues.

Kirin's chips is it not possible a Chinese company have the technology too at least make low end new Kirin's processor for budget smartphone?
There is other processors that could possibly put in a smartphone if kirin can't happen
The unisoc processor are Chinese home grown processors could Huawei not use them
There already seen in many budget smartphone
I seen in touch screen tablets with allwinner processor also Chinese made
Why not make a smartphone with a powered by a allwinner processor
The main weakness of Chinese processor is battery life drawing twice as fast and only low end performance
So twice the battery size is needed
Just think Huawei too Lazer focus on premium market
going budget brand for a good 5 too 10 years till the Chinese technologies catch up if they ever do that is
Just seems like the senseable thing too do is too lower pricing too stay competitive
Plus manufacturing costs and Chinese processor must surely make up for there short coming with lower overall costs too make them
