AnonD-77852, 06 Mar 2013This year HTC will build up the momentum and next year the ... moreThe samething was said about the OneX and S3.

Fact is, HTC suck at marketing, and comes with the same crap every year, build is beautiful yes, and nothing else is their to sway the average buyer, and dont even say anything about the chipset, to geeks its amazing, to the ordinary person, they dont give a crap about the chiipset.

and i seriously see that 4 ultrapixel camera coming back and biting them in the rear-end.

HTC marketing and management probably never collect the user feedback from here or any other web sites.
We are smart phone enthusiast who are willing pay $500-$600 for a good phone, and make recommendation to all friends and family members. If HTC doesn't listen to the those people feedback, they will be in trouble.

HTC, do you guys come here or engadget or XDA to collect user feedback ? If you don't, your poor sales will continue, no turn around story.

Here are the few things turned off many potential buyers for its new products.

    * Removable battery or bigger battery(at least 2500ma).
    * Better camera, at least has to be as good as Samsung GS series, may be physical button for the camera.
    * Better support for the old phones. My HTC One X(ATT version) still doesn't have JB upgrade. Can HTC release something on their own web site ?

I think HTC should produce more low,mid-range device that under "One" family. This will attract more customers from different level of spending. Like Samsung, they tend to cover all the range of devices so that customers can choose which phone they want depending on their spend.

Be Like You + What Users Want. (replaceable Battery, Smart Features Dump the Sense, Global Support, better Accessories); Look at Samsung Its Them + Apple + What Users Want...hence Best Sales

solving their sales problem is as simple as putting bigger batteries in their phones... 4000mAh should do it

I'm very happy. Htc must learn to support its devices properly. They didn't upgrade their desire Z (htc vision) to other than gingerbread. They've produced one of the few physical keyboard based device and they let it rot! F**k htc, I'll never buy again their products nor advice others to buy them. Dura lex, sed lex.

For a lightweight smartphone the HTC series are grossly over priced even unlight of the fact it has a non-removable battery.

htc have to make their maximum efforts for the marketing ... have to advertise their flagship...here in india if you ask a layman which is the most valualbe or best smartphone they know ..without a thought they will say its galaxy s3 or note...and of course the iphone...for htc its like those who are really interested in them they only know their product...they always come up first with the best...they must do something to let people know.

hTC makes beautiful phones, and its almost like each phone has a soul for its own unlike samsung devices, but unfortunately hTC's pricing strategy is terrible, and i hope they would keep a just above moderate price, so as to sell more phones and also increase market share, and profits can also be made in such ways. hTC is one company that i have come to love, but am afraid if they will last, please hTC get your pricing right and stop charging premium, though your phones are...

Htc is amazing, i have no other words for it. I remember some years ago, when HTC had even worse quality than they have now (manufacturing defects on all models that time), people needed HTC service centers, which were hard to find. In manila they had one, but people who went there got scared. The employees were dirty looking and dressed like some kind of criminals, they basically looked like they were going to rob someone. Some people reported that they went there to turn in defective phones for warranty repair but they got scared by the looks of the employees and left, afraid to trust those people with the crap phones they had paid so much for.

In Europe HTC didnt use to have service at all, they would collect defective phones and keep them in storage till the customer got so angry that they threatened with reporting them to the consumer right authorities, and at that point HTC would return the defective phone, untouched. And anyone wonder why HTC has nosedived on the sales charts like a Boeing controlled by al quaida?? The only thing you should wonder about is why they still sell as much as they do.

Earlier i've wasted my hard-earned money on hTC's inherently designed obsolete products by hTC - hTC Touch (P3450) & hTC Desire HD, ofcourse w/ superior build, but what's superior build of use w/ inferior battery, & sub-standard performance ??

Thanks hTC, you taught me to stay loyal to iPhone, iOS :-)

I don't understand why people complain about the lack of a removable battery and the lack of an SD card slot. Removable batteries lower the overall build quality of the phone and add bulk. SD Cards are neither necessary nor useful - if 64 GB of storage space isn't enough for you, you really have issues. That being said, the Sense UI is more intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional than stock Android and TouchWiz. Stock Android isn't horrible, but it's pretty bad in terms of aesthetics and usability. TouchWiz is laggy, overly-cartoonish, and just plain bad. Battery life on older phones was an issue, but on my DNA, it's not even close to being a problem.
