Daemon Targaryen, 21 Nov 2022Why? You want iPhones to have flat sides and back for the f... moreI don't care about the sides of the iPhone personally, but if Apple does it then all the Android manufacturers will do it. I hate rounded sides. It's ugly and it actually makes the phone more slippery because you have less surface area to grip on the sides due to the curve.

Please no. Every company is gonna go right back to making s***** rounded back phones again. Such an ugly design.

Rosso, 21 Nov 2022Golf is a tool, it's a vehicle to get you from point A... moreYou missed the point entirely. Like, ENTIRELY. The point I was making is how VW makes small changes to slowly make users get use to it without really alienating huge number of users. It's why iPhones are so similar for years and don't do drastic mega changes from one version to another.

SShock, 21 Nov 2022And why not? I've never heard a VW Golf user say "... moreGolf is a tool, it's a vehicle to get you from point A to point B, if you were buying phone that's like a Golf in terms of relative price, abilities, etc, you would be getting a 300 dollar midranger at max.
A brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max is like buying yourself a brand new luxury, high performance SUV or a sports car, you ain't just expecting it to be good to get you from point A to point B, you expect more then that, and you expect new, unique, fun and special stuff with each new generation.
While I do agree with mentality of "if it ain't broke don't fix it", your comparison isn't good in regards to it, and "iPhone is Golf of a smartphone world" makes no sense, iPhone is Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini of similar of the phone world.

That's a step in the right direction; the sharp edges of the current iPhones make them very uncomfortable to hold, especially the larger sized ones where those edges dig into your hand as you try to grip the phone. Of course that would be less of a problem if you use a case, but for those of us who don't, that certainly was a problem and one of the reasons I didn't get an iPhone when I tried them out at an Apple store.

They won't make a fully metal phone due to this wireless charging gimmick. There should be an option to buy full metal version without that gimmick.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2022Just go back to aluminium Apple, nearly all brands to this ... morewhats really funny is that despite all of the "oh look at this, phone frame is so tough" gimmicks companies pull off on customers, the overall phone build is just as weak as it was before, one drop on floor and broken glass all over the place 😆

I like how they went with "a tipster specialising in Apple-related leaks" instead of "Shrimp Apple Pro", because to anyone not familiar with Shrimp's leaks their name makes it sound like a parody account lmao.

Just go back to aluminium Apple, nearly all brands to this and that is fine and premium enough.
But no, steel is not enough, we need titanium so we get another excuse to make phone even more expensive, because titanium will cause that.
I already see Samsung look at Apple in EU where they get away with “starting at €1419” for the base 14 Pro and think “we can ask same price”.
Ugh
Ugh
Never mind, let’s go back to plastic, cheaper, more solid and most people slap a case on their phone anyhow.

Just to remind everyone that GSMarena has been saying for 4 years, every year, that the upcoming iPhone is coming with in-display FaceID, without any holes or notch.
