It is time to get rid of 32-bit cores like Apple did millions of years ago and they still use them even in the 8 gen 2, this is actually waste of resources.

IpsDisplay, 23 Nov 2022Seriously Qualcomm... Better to get a mediatek midrange ... moreReally?? C'mon this chip is easily faster than Mediatek Dimensity 700, 900 etc and is far superior in terms of other SOC core features like AI Engines, Camera ISP, Modem etc Those who are gaming a lot Snapdragon make most sense as game developers usually give more priority to Snapdragon's Adreno GPUs over others. Almost everything in the Qualcomm platform is tightly integrated and far more optimized than competing options. Mediatek is 2nd best no doubt and the only SOC provider that can give tough competition to mighty Qualcomm.

funny how everyone expect midrange chip to use the latest architecture that are made by the already insufficient 5nm and 4nm process.

In most day to day use except for heavy gaming, its definitely more than enough for most.

This is to 778G what 870 is to 865, which is a second evolution of the existing product.

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2022The 700 chipset hasn't been used as much as I thought ... moreExactly. The LG Velvet 5G is still my favourite (upper) midrange phone to date. The Snapdragon 765G is still more than enough for daily use and medium setting mobile gaming. Even using Desktop Mode is a breeze

It's like Chinese phone brands renaming there same spec models. Now SD is doing it too with there chips. So they can just rename 778 to 782 so that they have chip release date for 2022-2023 just to fool the market. It's not like there is a lot of sd778 chipo phones anyways, so what to expect with renamed to 782 would be ? Price wont be cheaper too probably
