So what is the 7 gen 1 for? Those new 4, 6 and 7 gen 1 chips haven't even been used enough and there's already an 8 gen 2.

The 778/780 are in the range of a Snapdragon 855 (faster CPUs, slower GPU).... I hope the 7 gen 2 will be in the same vein with the Snapdragon 865

Lol its a joke. The first device with a Snapdragon 780 came out one and a half years ago and the first device with a Snapdragon 782 will come out in 2023 and will be less than 5% faster than it?? Complete lazy nonsense!!

It has about 880Mb/s.

no need of 778g plus replacement.
why fix it when there is nothing wrong?
if necessary, they intentionally made this for marketing. especially, in upcoming devices at the same price as most flagship devices.
