How it works?
Hardware acceleration is possible with AI/ISP...it's for exemple denoising and supersampling.
Rays acceleration is possible with shaders.
With RT Core (on latest GeForce or on Immortalis), you've got dedicated and more efficient hardware to calculate rays, that means your shaders can continue texturing at same time.
Smartphone's AI and ISP are strong (as they have cameras).
Smartphone's GPU has shaders...
Not that different compare to RDNA2.
Of course with RT Core, it will be better...just have a look at framerates between GeForce and Radeon

Denoising and super sampling are accelerated for exemple...
As Mali G610 hasn't RT core (even Mali G715 hasn't, only Immortalis G715 has), I think 8200 is more or less like 8100/8000/1300/1200, AI accelerated.
RDNA2 on Exynos 2200 hasn't RT core too.

Raytracing acceleration in mobile chipsets... so you can play some of the 3D games at higher FPS...
Personally I think effort and chip resources can be better spent.

That comparison in artile isn't precise ... I have Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G and I have dimensity 8100 max and I don't have 4k@60 only 4k@30 but I have 1k@60 that's enough

It's only use to boost the single core benchmark.
When playing games & all cores were use, it will run at the same clock speed as other cores to maximize balance.

This looks like a direct successor to the Dimensity 1200 and 1300 since it has a Prime core. I would love to see a direct comparison between the Dimensity 8200 and Dimensity 9200 on phones running the same custom OS/UI.
