SShock, 10 Dec 2022SD 8 Gen 2 doesn't even support 8K at 60fps...Apparently, it's thanks to the hp2 capabilities that it's possible to do this. Overriding pre-set chip demands is possible- check xperia 1 4k@120 fps video recording, which isn't possible with the installed chip. It's all thanks to Sony's proprietary hardware.

Hopefully the battery backup of the tiny S23 will improve. I just love the footprint of that device and it's performance.

8K, 16K, all of that's a meme. Filesizes are terrabytes and who can "enjoy" the difference anyway? When are we going to get 120fps videos and such, in another 10 years after useless "upgrades" (also i.e. downgrades)?

Why no 4K 120fps yet? Technically SD 8 Gen 2 supports that feature. The feature is available since Sony Xperia 5 II and 1 II, Asus Rog phone and One plus. I wish S23 Ultra offers better battery endurance this time.
