Samsung Galaxy S23 series will support 8K@30fps video recording

10 December 2022
It's a nice future-proof feature.

Wow that is so useful /s

8K/30fps sounds interesting, but LG has already gone further by giving HDR10 support and that is something no one still gives to this day.

Without Samsung you would have blindly used a 3.5" LCD display phone in 2022. Probably only a handful apps, each costing 20 bucks a month to use. That was Apple's vision before Samsung decided to give people real options and Shenzhen brands like Huawei and Apple something to copy.

Isn't 8K a bit too much? Unless you have an 8K TV, you'll never be able watch that video in it's native resolution.
At least try giving us 4K displays on the Plus/Ultra like Sony has.
Displays on the S line should be:
          S23 - FHD+
          S23 Plus - WQHD+
          S23 Ultra - 4K
Also, PLEASE bring back the 3.5mm jack and the SD card slot !

Also copycats? What does that even mean with Apple? That's like claiming Audi is a copycat because their cars also have 4 wheels and a steering wheel just like Mercedes and BMW! It's totally nonsensical statement.

So, what's the difference between Huawei and Apple?

They ARE the same picture. Copycats made in China.

I would have bought it if it had 4500mAh, 12GB RAM, and 45W charging.

Sorry, but high bit rate 4K@120fps > low bit rate 8K@30fps
But if one is able to bring high bit rate of both at the same time and without any thermal compromise, then it's much better.
