SShock, 19 Dec 2022Ever thought people do that because Samsung has a reliable ... moreHell no. I have s10 but for my sake I would definitely not move to s23. Why? Well alot of things changed in 4 years time. Samsung thinks its Apple, providing same shit every year. No chargers, same hardware, shitty cameras, s23 sounds like a disaster waiting to be happen. Samsung is dead to me. Competiton is wiping floors with it. Look at Oppo X6 pro or Xiaomi 13 pro, it destroys Samsung S series to pieces in hardware, why should anyone buy Samsung s23? its not hard to read few reviews and see that Samsung litteraly cashing in on poor people who think they have good phones 😀 Not anymore.

In all fairness it feels like Samsung is trying to downgrade its S series to force people to move towards Z Fold. Lets be honest Samsung has been releasing pile of shit S22 Ultra now this S23 Ultra, with same shitty cameras and in overal same hardware year to year comparing to competition. Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola while releasing 1 inch sensors and desteoying Samsung, Samsung does nothing in this regard, guess foldables now will be main Samsung game?

SShock, 19 Dec 2022Ever thought people do that because Samsung has a reliable ... more'Reliable track record'... No, Samsung don't have a good reputation. Buyers have little to no alternatives, either Apple or Samsung, as those around them are also using the same 2 brands. Not many will choose Chinese brands unless they want to be different, or due to budget, except for Huawei.
Many actually switched from Huawei phones to Samsung and Apple phones due to the former lacking GMS, and they are very much missing the hardware and software quality of Huawei phones. If one day Huawei phones offer similar software support and alternatives, such users will ditch Samsung and go back to Huawei.
For those who upgraded from old Samsung to new Samsung phones, likely due to green or pink screen, green or pink lines, and other defects common with those devices. Marketing with sales tactics employed through sweet talk of salespeople and online advertisements also helps in retaining customers within the Samsung ecosystem.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2022You know Z fold has it, right? yes but that's because you can actually use the back cameras to take selfies. Much more of a hassle with non-folding phones.

I would prefer 0.5x low res over 0.7x hi res, still, hi res ultra wide would be perfect.
After using galaxy for a while, I start to miss hi res of Vivo a lot... it matters too.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2022Samsung users just buy the new model without even checking ... moreEver thought people do that because Samsung has a reliable track record? Most people don't hang on smartphone webpages 24/7, but if they were happy with Galaxy S10 and they need a new phone, they'll grab Galaxy S23 because they know it'll be a good phone without looking at any review. Can you blame them? No. Can you argue Samsung doesn't have phones good enough to be bought this way? I think not as well. It's not blind fanboyism, it's track record. And Apple also has same track record. Someone with iPhone X probably won't do any studies, when iPhone 15 comes out, they'll just buy it and be guaranteed to have good experience. Because they will.

Huh?! The article is contradictory and confusing. It says the S23 will get a DOWNGRADE and then it says "According to earlier leaks, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will finally get a new, UPGRADE selfie camera". So which is it?!? Badly written article.

All Ultras (and the other in the S series) already had AF on the selfie camera starting with the S8. Such an undocumented article.

how many times to use the front camera hahahahaha not even the streamers, they use the rear one with a tripod and that's it! for video calls and the occasional group photo, 12mpx is more than fine

12 MP is enough for a selfie camera, come on! That 40 MP camera took 10 MP photos by default, I bet most of the people shot 10 MP images with the S22 U.
