I could be wrong of course but let's say I'm right tell me please what do you think what custom means?
Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure Nokia would have liked N808 to have an auto HDR feature or RAW capability (proof is the bracketing feature under Creative mode). As such, 808 works only on evenly-exposed scenes, but during nighttime, forget about it

Using a Google Pixel 7 Pro right now and loving it (got rid of the 6 Pro after six months because it was Ridiculously buggy), but am still mystified that it's "smart" recharging tech requires you to set your daily morning alarm for the phone to switch to slow charge overnight. My Xiaomi from two+ years ago Learnt your morning schedules and adjusted it's overnight charging speed accordingly.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2022You do not difference because you look at jpeg, that is ext... moreWell nicely said problem is tech going cheaper over time and even this will be possible.
10 years ago phones with 32GB disk space were pretty rare and very costly.
Nowdays a phones with 32GB disk space are super creepy and 128GB becomes common for most phones and 1TB is pretty rare and super expensive.
10 Years from now phones will have maybe 8 or 16TB disk space maybe even more and a 1TB phone will be super old quint and creepy.

All i wanted to say whats not possible due to super high cost will be possoble later on time.
But since on whole world there is like 1% of people which can buy brand new fully equipped rolls royce from their one hour or one day tips (no sallary) you will always find people which will buy this.

Just like the caviar made phones. Too expensive for community here but everything they ever made they always sold. Like that pure gold made playstation 5 for half million which been sold 3 pieces long time before they made first one.

As long as new camera depletes battery much faster and google wont planning to improve charger and charging speeds this new feature is a complete waste.
Making few photos and videos and deplete half the battery and then waiting like 90 or 20 minutes to fully charge the device is a huge dissapoinment.
Redmi 12 note discovery have 210W charger and a 200 Mpix camera for 330 euros.
No google pixel can beat that.

RAW images from proper 10bit on phones are very good.

The moral of the story is: Google is using Samsung tech, just like how Apple is using Samsung tech, also!

They could just make the sensor pixels bigger so that they have higher dynamic range. The lenses on phones aren't good for more than 4 to 12 Mpix anyway.

A normal digital camera can do HDR in a single photo because they have 12 to 15 usable sample bits per pixel, compared to 4 to 9 in a cellphone. RAW images from a cellphone without heavy processing look like a GIF capture of a VHS tape.

Hopefully a mix of the staggered abd triple gain sensor. A bit of both should do wonders.

                                So, 16 Mega-pixels instead of 13 Mega-pixels...? Go Google...

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2022HDR ruined photography, Nokia 808 absolutely shames Pixel 7... moreHDR is a necessity because our eyes have a much larger dynamic range than what cameras can capture by default as a single shot, that's why they take multiple shots at different expositions and combine them to get the "full" dynamic range, only the standard image format for that, JPEG, is absolutely ill-suited for that.

And the Nokia 808 has been long been eclipsed by modern phones. The Xiaomi 11 Ultra absolutely destroys the Nokia phone in terms of both image and video quality. There's no need to long for the past any longer.

Besides, if there was really demand for such phones, companies would have long addressed it. They haven't.
