K, 28 Dec 2022What is surprising is flip 4 sold less than flip 3.People are realizing it's just another gimmick and the huge price, pathetic battery and worse durability (Especially without the ability to use protection) are really not worth it.

I still have my S9+ and its way better than any of the new S series. I think they are just giving up. The removal of the SD card was just the final drop to spill the glass.

Well, keep leaving out the MicroSD from the premium models and you will see your sales decline even more. Not a really smart move to remove it in the first place.

          Sales declining,,,
not many want to spend 70% of their salary to buy a mobile phone.

I have nothing to say about your numbers and statistics. all i know is samsung is going backwards rather than improving. trickling down on upgrades, like S22, good phone bad battery. next year S23 improving the battery so can sell it as new phone which should have been done last year! no SD, no IR blaster, no headphone jack, well then i guess less customers is the least they can expect considering the ever competitive flagship market these days.
also is it me or anyone else noticed the BUILD QUALITY is deteriorating generation over generation. i had to replace my Zflip 4 twice ad it still has build defects.

I miss the s7-s10 days, when Samsung was making the complete flagships with all the goodies, but they decline in the s20 gen and after. The S8 and S10e make me change from Sony and Moto, but i didn't see reason to upgrade, having too many shortcomings in the actual generation. Samsung will return to the days of glory after all this time?

Samsung reputation is in shatter because of their Software Lags.

When u go in Store everyone is annoyed by the lags

Well, they literally put all the possible effort to kill the S series. WTH were they expecting, every new release is a downgrade compared to the now 4 years old S10, let's say the s20 because of the HRR. The worst part is that this is not changing anytime soon. Hopefully some random chinese brand will take over and they'll be force to make some relevant changes.

walkman8, 27 Dec 2022Do mention which parts are myths. PLEASE Samsung is still great my s22 ultra is so good even in December

their foldables are the most practical thanks to their software

The 3 year old camera hardware your talking about is still as good as the competition if u compare specsheets and computational prowess is up to date

They are leading in software support

There are not the best but are amongst the best

Last 3 years all 20 serie the same nothing chance same camera, look, screens .if Samsung this years come with the same product nothing going to chance

Samsung needs to get back to it's roots and what made ppl opt for a Galaxy device. For a while, Android had the option of wireless chargers, micro sd slot, and headphone jacks. Now that Apple has built a lot of the hardware to line up with Android offering, Samsung thought it be a good idea to remove features to provide a "Apple" Android device. Sadly, the chipset just hasn't been efficient enough to warrant upgrading like Apple offerings.. I was a loyal Samsung user since the Note 2 and had to "upgrade" when the S20 gave out. All phones after the 20 line just felt reduced in capacity. The software got better but efficiency just seemed to struggle. Sony Xperia 5 IV should be the phone Samsung should mirror to make a really enticing flagship

The number one priority for the average consumer is not the camera. All flagships have good cameras. Some excel in certain circumstances, but many of those fancy options are gimmicks most people don't use. Many Apple people have told me Samsung has better cameras. I'm not sure they actually believe that, but none of them are giving up their iphones for that reason. Plus, the majority of phones sold are midrange and entry level droid phones that don't carry top camera specs.

The techie that loves to see specs evolve and stays up-to-date on tech news does not make up the majority of mobile sales. The average consumer does and you won't find them here or in the comment section of a tech reviewer's YT page.

Mobile phones have become boring. The same thing happened with PC's. Every year the same thing with only tiny improvements. And prices that are way higher than they should be. I'm still using my S10 which I've had since day 1 and I might just get the battery replaced and wait another year as nothing excites me any more.
