It's older so it has the older specs and performance that come along with that. In addition, the price hasn't really dropped off a lot to accomodate the fact. I just checked right now and I did see that it was upgraded to HarmonyOS 2 a year ago, but no word of HarmonyOS 3 yet. This tablet came out in 2019 so I'm not sure what to expect update wise.

Screen is as nice as the Y700 and brighter, sound is loud and more bass-y, it has a much better back camera than Y700 and Realme Pad Mini, 8GB RAM vs. 3/4 in the Pad Mini, performance is about double that performance of the Pad Mini and not meaningfully far off the Y700 for anything but the heaviest games. It also has LTE so you're not hotspotting off of something else all the time, and GPS so you can navigate. You're stuck on MIUI 11, but even then you're years away from apps stopping support (remember: about 90% of the top 100 apps on the Play Store are still releasing updates for Android 6).
There's nobody who should be buying a Pad Mini over a MediaPad M6 8.4, and only the most hardcore of Wi-Fi gamers should be buying a Y700 over an M6.

It is definitely a true tabletkiller, and the only reason Apple isn't selling one is because Samsung isn't interested in selling the displays to Apple.

For all the quirky idea of foldable screen, it's far from a true tablet replacement. Don't even get me started with that complete joke of screen crease. I immediately replaced it with a brand new 11" Tab S8 and I couldn't be any happier. In fact, I don't even miss my old Z Fold2 at all.

YUKI93, 31 Dec 2022That is why I totally believe that rollable screens are the... moreI agree, I think rollables will be nice. I actually have all 3 of the "decent" small tablets. iPad Mini 6, Lenovo Legion Y700 and literally just got the Realme Pad Mini yesterday. iOS is what it is, you either love it or hate it, personally I'm not a fan. My favorite of the 3 is the Y700. The Realme Pad Mini would actually be an excellent device, but the screen lets it down really hard. The performance is fine, not great not terrible. It has great build quality, good sound, good battery life, 18W charging (could be faster, but it is atleast at a base level). I think if they released it with a 1080p screen it would be an instant hit, but a better SoC and more RAM would go a long way as well. The reviewers have been mostly positive to it, but the screen is really a problem IMO. Manufacturers need to understand that people don't buy a small tablet because they can't afford a bigger one. They buy a small tablet because they don't WANT a bigger one. Companies are leaving a lot of money on the table by not releasing decent small options.

For all the growing market of Android tablets, only Lenovo dared to make a similarly-sized tablet with the gaming-centric Legion Y700. It's just a shame that it will forever remain a China-only model.

The iPad mini needs 2 things to make it a killer device, faster charging and 120hz screen, it’s a very expensive device but n the Uk/EU since Apple increased prices across the board late last year with the 64gb version now costing £569/€659 which is just disgraceful
