SE Walkman phone has ALWAYS have better sound quality than Apple product. Even regular Sony Walkman has BETTER sound than iPod!!

Nokia announced its move to buy symbian and to merge s60, uiq and moap into one single platform. From this act we can clearly say that nokia knew that they will be knocked out from business very-very soon. This is the only way for nokia to produce touchscreen and sophisticated phone in near future. But again they will be releasing the merged platform to rival samsung and se. I wonder why nokia never learned a lesson. Congrats to Samsung! U guys really slams Nokia in their homeground! (Proud symbian s60 powered Samsung i450 user. Maybe my next sammy is i8510. Good bye Nokia!)

Probably there is the N95, but... 3x optical zoom is something, without Zeiss optics; and the poor battery life!. And i can't compare none of the XpressMusic phones with the Walkman series phones(W980 for example). And Nokia doesn't have a Touch UI based phone. Yes, there is a N800 and N810, but those aren't phones anymore. Those are PocketPCs.

And because these phones have demostrated exceptional performance, they have been given an award. The reason other phones didn't win an award is that they didn't perform well enough to earn one. So, when people see the W980 advertised as the winner of the EISA award for best music phone, they know it's because the phone does awesomely when it comes to music playback. In that respect, yes, awards DO matter...

because, Samsun... moreThe reason SE is selling less handsets are because they have more expensive high-end phones than Nokia or Samsung. Not many people can afford it.
I think SE quality is better as well - the handsets are smoother and have better feel. I'll take any SE phones over my current Nokia N95 8GB anyday! Nokia phones are just not as nice... (I miss my P990i)

I thought the Black 8gb N95 would have been a contender for the best camera mobile also the easiest symbian software on it,but Samsung this year have been put alot of pressure on the others producing more slimmer an also the touch screen mobiles,Nokia will be really angry with themselves not producing a mobile to out class the others so they got start to produce slimmer an better software mobiles,an with Samsung releasing the i8510 soon theres going to more pressure on them now

the pioneers in music phone is the good ol' Siemens SL45, followed by Nokia 5510.
while the first cameraphone was Kyocera VP-210, and then followed by Sharp JSH04.
and, i think the easy-to-use-smartphone title without any doubt will go to the Iphone.

Nokia is robbing there customers with their Voice Navigation for the built in GPS reciever. $149 for 1 year for the lady's voice is ridiculous. Nokia loosing customers to the WinMobile phones... Plus they better stop releasing phones to the market with full of bugs. First test it in finland and then release it to the whole world for god sake.
North American support is out of their heads.
Cheap materials in a expensive high end phones like N and E series production must be stopped. Its gonna be too late for them.

In my opinion, the real winner is Samsung.
because, Samsung and Nokia (and maybe Iphone) are the real world winner, since they sell their handsets more than any other manufacturers.
while Sony-Ericsson losing their market share by 47% this year (compare to last year data).
let's see if this so-called award would boost their sale.
but, i seriously doubt that...

Congratulation to all the winner. Congratulation to all the originality.
HTC are pioneer in good looking and easy to use smartphone. Samsung Omnia maybe better feature than Diamond, but still HTC are the pioneer (with TouchFLO 3D).
Sony Ericsson are pioneer in music phone range. Walkman phone family still better implemented than XpressMusic or ROKR until now.
Samsung are first to introduce mobile phone with camera. Samsung also produce their own camera module not like other. Samsung G810 has 5 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash and optical zoom. No competitor in market this year while N82 & K850 lack optical zoom.
Sorry for Nokia, they not produce something new this year.
