I'm simply not interested in any smartphone bigger than 6.1". That's the max limit or 155mm in length. Even that is too much for using a smartphone comfortably with one hand.

Ok, 15 Jan 2023The pixel 4a was the best-sized smartphone in my opinion. Maybe for girls and asian tiny people.
Mons mans have thick fingers and in that case phone like Pixel 4A were really small considering a fact typing to someone and pressing 2-4 letters at a same time due to thick hands is disgusting. Then you ghave to correct your self or send something close to egyptian hieroglyphs.
Bigger is better as long as it can fit pockets and is not a tablet size.

        6,1 - 6,5 is ideal for me.

potato4k, 15 Jan 2023This is dumb. Screen size doesn't mean anything. What... moreWhat you say sounds like it makes sense on paper but when you consider standards it stalls apart

Screen size is now a synonym to dimensions

Why ? Because systematically mass production will
Flavor more and more products being similar for easier production

Things like bezel size are rarely different unless the manufacturer has some exclusive tech and that's an exception to the rule

Owned ip4 which is around 4.5" if I'm not mistaken that's an old relic at this point but my point is it's small, it was ok during it's era then came ip6 which is slightly bigger then i moved on from that upgraded to xs max which btw still doing great, tbh i only use it to play music and other random things no longer my main device, because now I'm just using a regular midrange phone, and which is cheaper and have bigger display also cheaper so i opted for that instead, i just need bigger display for netflix and other medias, i know smaller display is sharper but i want more viewing angles so a phone around 6.5 - 6.7 is the perfect spot, I'd say 6.6 or 6.67 if that even matter is perfect for media consumption, but ngl recent i did think of getting back to smaller display like the xiaomi 13 which is perfect

Small screen is NOT a determining factor it further highlight how little of a priority it is to people

It's even WORSE because many apple fans have money to burn and are called " sh eep" but despite that powerful brand loyalty it still failed

A respectable amount of people don't want small screens

I live in Europe and I either see iPhone 11 to 14 phones, or €200 Android phones. that’s because Apple doesn’t capture the market below 550€ (iPhone SE new). If Apple sold something like the iPhone XR new at €200, it would sell really well.

Lead2XL, 15 Jan 2023I used to love Xiaomi high end phones but never again. Not ... moreWhich Xiaomi high end phones are you talking about? Because as far as I know Xiaomi high end phones are no wider than similar phones from other brands. And the vanilla Xiaomi series (Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 12s) are there for you if you don't like large bricks. You can't have large phones with same weight as smaller ones, right? Unless you want to sacrifice certain things. Can't understand your logic here

I think screens should not be too wide or too long. I personally prefer phones that are easy to hold in one hand and can fit in pockets. But nowadays phones are getting bigger and heavier with every iteration. I wish manufacturers would start making compact phones once again.

Especially those that like small screens

Have to remember people the smallest group of people are usually the loudest.. that's even worse on social media and tech savvy sites like these

And the majority is usually very quiet

The world chose larger smartphone screens and they believe smaller screen phones are lower quality products (statically proven from the non tech savvy majority)

Deny reality all you want but reality doesn't care

It was a flagship phone priced almost $1000 in most regions outside USA, and on top of that, it ran on iOS which isn't much preferred outside USA

If it was priced around $500 then would've been far more popular. Small phones are either a flagship or with limited regional availability ex. Zenfone 9. And then companies say "small phones have low sales"

Have they ever made a good one in mid-range ? There is just no option to choose from, while looking for any 6.7 inch brick, there are millions of options

Olympus Oms, 15 Jan 2023Samsung had a 7" smartphone back in the days, and with... moreYou mean the J Max? That thing is no phone but rather some kind of mutation between a phone and a tablet
You're not putting it in your pockets, that's for sure

I used to have iPhone 13 and moved to Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra. Difference between them is 0.7' and yeah Mi11 is bigger, but it Has curved corners and actually it seems simmilar size as Ip13 and fits pretty good in hand. For me iPhone 13 mini which i was considering before buying regular 13 was a bit to small. I think Perfect size is arround 6.0 - 6.3' with curved body, as in Huawei P30 for example. Size of it is Perfect and screen isn't small
