amazing how 6.5inch xperia is good for one hand operation... that is if you are okay with pulling down the ui to reach the upper half of the phone, for that "one handed mode"... though i prefer their older take of one handed mode, where the ui is just shrunk down with the same aspect ratio and not just pulling down the upper part of the ui...

    The ideal size of the phone! 5.5-6.3". Flip phones are ok with 6.8".

    Since it's all about zero bezels today, the screen size is the phone size. The zenfone 9 and s22 are my preferred phone size today.

      See the review of the first galaxy note which is 5.3" and the main disadvantage says, it wont fit in every pocket

        It's the aspect ratio, isn't it? I couldn't imagine 5.4" being small a decade ago but the iPhone mini was a tad on the small side; keyboard was definitely cramped even though the screen was fine height-wise.

          The aspect ratio is important too. I would buy phones the same width but shorter.
          Unfortunately today screen size is one of the most important thing I consider when buying a phone, because for me most of them do not fit in my pocket.

                As fir cameras, Huawei P30 Pro has 3 cameras with periscope lens, and it's less than 200g.

                  4-inch up too 5-inch is ideal screen size for me
                  A smartphone needs too be portable and fit in small Pockets and be easy too use one handed
                  Mini size smartphones I prefer

                    This voting and it's options are obsolete because 16:9-6.7", 19:9-6.7", 21:9-6.7" are not the same. There will be a drastic change in the screen's width between these size. We have to determine the height:width ratio first. For me, 68.5mm width is ideal but for pro/Ultra users 75mm widt is convenient and height : width should be 18.5:9.

                      screen size is depend on person's hands.. some want big and some want small.

                        I'd go with about 6", tiny bezels and less than 8 mm thick. So it keeps only two options, either iPhone or Galaxy S... Limited usability and accessibility leaves iPhone out. Let's go for S23...

The screen & bezel sizes discourse always revolved on having the biggest screen possible on a phone with little bezels possible. When people complained about bezels 10 years ago, they were talking about the waste of space where a screen could have been. I agree with you btw

These phones still need to be held by hand. Sony seems to be the only one getting it, with phones that can still be held properly by human hands due to the shorter width. Too bad many people are not realizing this

                                      I find it so funny that people who prefer small screens are so vocal online, yet when it comes to sales, small phones perform terrible.

I don't know why can't we just get good old 16:9 that literally every other device uses. Instead we get these weird 19.5:9 ratios. If it was at least 21:9 it would make sense but people don't really want a remote controlled in their pocket
