It is not just the diagonal, it is also the aspect ratio-wrong question.

And they will di it again for the 25, at least from the rumors

People want a small phone and when one gets released it sells bad. Why? Because it has small battery, no 3.5 jack, no stereo speakers, camera is bad etc. People want miracles and it's not gonna happen. The best size we can get is similar to redmi note 11, realme 10 etc. if you want all of the things above. Small phones sell badly, deal with it

I've been using Xiaomi 11T for 4 months and my subjective experience is this feels great for using phone with 6.7" screen.

In my opinion, the popularity of S plus is not necessarily due to size. Samsung reduced the maximum internal memory capacity and screen resolution in the S21+ and S22+ compared to S20+. Just provide the S Plus with minimum 512GB internal memory and restore screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, then we see if it's will be more popular or not. I will not go for the S Ultra instead, because it's too expensive for me and I do not like the shape with sharp corners and it's too big. Everyone has their own preferences, so Samsung should keep the 3 phone options.

I used to love Xiaomi high end phones but never again. Not only are they too big, especially too wide, but also way too heavy. I'm not going to buy a phone over 190 grams and most of Xiaomi's newer, larger phones are over 200 grams - deal breaker for me. I like to carry my phone in my shirt pocket and I don't want to carry a brick.

You need to look at your phone no matter what you are doing with it
So yes, screen size is the most important of all
For phone around 6.8 inch to 7.2 inch is best
For tablet around 8 inch to 10 inch is best

I care about the camera, but also the screen size. Currently only Apple is putting the same flagship camera from Pro max to the smaller Pro model. All the Android brands are forcing the consumers to buy the big phone to get the flagship camera.

I don't care firstly about screen size, but the width of the whole phone. Unless the bezels are huge of course.
Would really like to see new ~60mm wide Android phones again with thin bezels and screen sizes around 5".

7.2"(+) inch.... As long as it still comfortably fits in my pocket.
Yes I saw your SGSs, Iphones, Xaiomis, Oppos and Vivos, and I raised ya'll a Huawei Mate 20X (Yes, the Mate 20 _X_ , not the Mate 20Pro that every frickin' smartphone webshop was trying to foist on you back then).

i regretted getting the s22 ultra mostly because of the size.. too big bulky disgusting. and it's a shame that manufacturers push the best into the biggest phones.. such a phone is a disaster.. is it some complex of small people or what

When discussing screen sizes, aspect ratios are also very important to mention because this isn't 2016 when every phone was 16:9
A 6.5 inch 20:9 screen isn't the same as a 19:9 one
With that said, i currently have an S22+ (6.6 inch 19.5:9) and while it's a decent size, i would prefer if it was a tad bit bigger. The S22 ultra feels just about the right size so a 6.8 inch 19.5:9 screen is good enough for me
Something i really hated before was how most entry level and mid range phones used to be tiny like no more than 4.5 inches and i was forced to use them because i couldn't buy flagships yet. Glad those times are over
