6.2" or less is perfect. I mean, I've never heard of anyone complaining about the size of iPhone XR/11, Pocophone F1 or Galaxy S10 and most of them have the same size as a 5.5" phone 6-7 years ago, though it can't be compared directly bcs of the aspect ratio :/

I would prefer a S24+ with the camera of the Ultra, but without the stylus, thus also a bit smaller than the Ultra.

Aspect ratios have changed though. I agree with the consensus that it should be dimensions over size.

The only size screen to have is 6" to ideally have . ( only option not on survey ! ) other wise use a tablet if you want bigger ! Also 1080 pixels ( full HD ) as any more is a waste of battery life ! Oled is the only tech as it nit using as much battery as other display types !

But a best screen size poll is useless.
For me, the size of the note10+ is ok, a little to wide,
But for my wife i want a xperia 1 because is narrower.
It 6.8' vs 6.5', but what matters it's the 77.2 vs 71mm width.

I think that the point is not exactly screen diagonal. The point is actual screen size in cm2. I cannot comfortably use phones with the screen size less than 100cm2.

For me, it's 6.5''. Sound awful to some people but hear me out. If the panel has slim bezels, it's still not that huge to start with, and the size makes it not so big that it's uncomfy, but not so small that you are gonna struggle with doing things on it.

I like iphone mini so much, but i have problem with my eyes and bigger screen is better for me. So in my case, choice is not about preference, its about practicality

Screen size doesn't mean anything. What... morethose days are gone when bezels used to be huge so today it's predictable how big a phone can be, by it's screen size. Aspect ratio is almost same for every phone today (close to tall)
That leaves only the screen as major factor that decides the dimensions of a phone. Don't count thickness or weight because that doesn't affect pocketibility as much as the height and width

My motorola edge 30 neo 6.28''(153mm height) is great. I tried smaller(Galaxy A5, S21) and bigger phones(galaxy A52s,S20FE, Mi11Lite) but this is one is best so far. I say about 150mm is perfect, as long it has very small bezels.
