When discussing screen sizes, aspect ratios are also very important to mention because this isn't 2016 when every phone was 16:9
A 6.5 inch 20:9 screen isn't the same as a 19:9 one
With that said, i currently have an S22+ (6.6 inch 19.5:9) and while it's a decent size, i would prefer if it was a tad bit bigger. The S22 ultra feels just about the right size so a 6.8 inch 19.5:9 screen is good enough for me
Something i really hated before was how most entry level and mid range phones used to be tiny like no more than 4.5 inches and i was forced to use them because i couldn't buy flagships yet. Glad those times are over

    aspect ratio is also matters besides just screen size

      For me 6.8 is best.

      Good for watching, Reading PDFs, editing documents.

      Moto G51 5g is best here.

            6.2" or less is perfect. I mean, I've never heard of anyone complaining about the size of iPhone XR/11, Pocophone F1 or Galaxy S10 and most of them have the same size as a 5.5" phone 6-7 years ago, though it can't be compared directly bcs of the aspect ratio :/

              I would prefer a S24+ with the camera of the Ultra, but without the stylus, thus also a bit smaller than the Ultra.

                6" with 18:9 aspect ratio is Best

                  Aspect ratios have changed though. I agree with the consensus that it should be dimensions over size.

                    The only size screen to have is 6" to ideally have . ( only option not on survey ! ) other wise use a tablet if you want bigger ! Also 1080 pixels ( full HD ) as any more is a waste of battery life ! Oled is the only tech as it nit using as much battery as other display types !

                      But a best screen size poll is useless.
                      For me, the size of the note10+ is ok, a little to wide,
                      But for my wife i want a xperia 1 because is narrower.
                      It 6.8' vs 6.5', but what matters it's the 77.2 vs 71mm width.

                        I think that the point is not exactly screen diagonal. The point is actual screen size in cm2. I cannot comfortably use phones with the screen size less than 100cm2.

                              For me, it's 6.5''. Sound awful to some people but hear me out. If the panel has slim bezels, it's still not that huge to start with, and the size makes it not so big that it's uncomfy, but not so small that you are gonna struggle with doing things on it.

                                I like iphone mini so much, but i have problem with my eyes and bigger screen is better for me. So in my case, choice is not about preference, its about practicality

                                  Xperia is perfect for me when watching movies and playing games but that's just me
