      The blocking of instructions of really old android apps

      I can't understand why is Google even allowed too do this

      So even sideloading of old apps will be blocked by Google is turning android into a garbage os

      Just imagine having too customs ROM a smartphone just because you need it too run a older version of android in order too run the your order apps

      The tool app VMOS ( android 7 emulator for android phones) a lot of people might relay on it soon

      Oh god almighty you're going need a lot of system ram too be able run a virtual android phone in your real android phone

      I don't like the bad path android is heading down future looks grim

        I really don't need stupid compatibility issues on android too with older apps

        I really hate Google android 12 & android 13 where bad enough now this

        Seriously This is messed up this is happening now people won't even be able play old game apps on there new smartphone with better hardware

        Now there's are good reasons too definitely not want too update you're smartphone

                This is exactly what I feared Google would do. Not even surprising tbh. Locking down Android under the veneer of "security." Giving us more reasons to switch to iOS.

                Old apps are great because they take less storage and memory due to hardware restraints at the time.

                Glad I bought a phone that isn't going to Android 14. Not only software support is overrated, sometimes it is actually a bad thing.

                  You funy here copy of Myspace or how it was called before Steve Jobs and Wozniak used it to redesign and made IOS hell no.

                  Since IOS does not support anything which have apple sticker on it and forces people to buy overpriced and overexagerrated apple products IOS will never beat android or stock android.

                  I loves freedom. Bird in a golden cage thanks but not.
                  Rather will stick to Nokia 3310 of the old times. Far more durable than anything from apple, cheap to repair, much more endurance rating and no spyware os.

                      Maybe you dont know but UI is ram and CPU costly even in most basic phone like Samsung A14 eats 2GB ram and 6GB of disk space for nothing.
                      For having tons of useless apps which you ahve there already from goodle and better.
                      Like Google chrome over Samsung internet. Google clocks over samsung clocks.
                      Google calendar over samsung calendar and many many more apps which are already there.
                      Pure android experience is the way.
                      UI is nothing just bloatware which is like burden for the phone.
                      Its like a cancer you cannot get rid of no matter you try. Only worse thing than UI is IOS which is tottaly unfriendly and does not cooperate with anything which doesnt carry same sticker on it but thats a story for another time.

                        It's not just that we don't want to pay but thanks to that we have access to a large number of applications that will make life easier, e.g. no ads and apps not available in Google Play

                          Its like to run Tiahne 2 computer on a steam which is bullcrap.
                          For small files the difference is zero fpr large files lets say 100GB or more transfering data to or from sd card takes hours.
                          USB 4,0 and bigger disk space is way better than burden slow useless SD card which breaks pretty fast if you plug and unplug it from device several times.

                          And for jack??? Wireless was the future it is the future and always will be the future no matter how you look at.
                          Best wireless audio always beats wired one.
                          And even a best wired audio is done for the moment you break your cable even by accident.
                          Wireless cannon break this way. They can loose the battery but will still play for several years untill you change them for something new just like people do with their phones and all other electric gadgets.

                            Paradoxically, this can force people to root or to switch to Apple if someone doesn't know how to root.
                            I don't know what google wants to achieve other than annoying the user

                                      Kaka, 25 Jan 2023Does it give effect to custom rom?It should, I'm using a custom rom with Android 13 and I can't access the android data/obb folders unless I'm using a computer with cable, that's baked into the Android OS itself and I imagine they'll do the same for Android 14. Maybe some apps might be able to circunvent it (for example newer versions of Total Commander let you access those folders you wouldn't be able to normally).
