Popular opinions suck and are dead wrong
I don't care if everyone in the would don't agree with me
If you buy something it should last very a long time at least 10 plus year's
If dead after 3 year's it is just a waste
This is my honest opinion
Should just have big user replaceable battery's in smartphones is that simple
It's bad technology is made too break and faster changing will lead us down that bad path

This is a worrying and unhealthy poll results
concern about battery life are a serious issue
Popular option just unhappy with way how incredibly arrogant people are
Problems with swollen beaten up abused battery can be provided but we'll rather deal with the outcome of dead phone

Even if it is popular option they want fast changing it's still not right
Why does a old phone have too a swollen beaten up and abused battery on the second hand market
The life of a smartphone having usefulness is a very long time
The price of the smartphone that support fast changing is often expensive
Am not a fan of this but expensive then replace fast
Yeah gaming but if you're into gaming you're going need huge battery and long battery life
And yeah kinda will need too future proof your hardware
Please I do hope the EU mades user replaceable battery's a thing it make flagship phone and gaming phone a much safer opinion

Phones of today (with current hardware) can last at least 3 years before upgrading (and more if it's a flagship) but the battery doesn't last that long. And then, there are all this ultra charging speeds to kill it even faster

rather than super fast charging I rather have battery that last at 3 to 5 years without battery life affected no matter full or 85% charge or the heat from using or charging

The Zenfone 9 is sure a good phone and the endurance speaks for itself, but the thickness don't really justify the high-end status and just not suitable for everyone.

Just look at the battery-life progression at Nokia from 2009 to 2011:
Nokia 1280 (16-days), Nokia E5 (8-days), Nokia C6 (4-days), Nokia N9 (1-day).
Each step you're getting a larger, denser, brighter display. With louder sounds. More connectivity. Faster processor. And smarter software. Yet even with a larger battery to offset, still the battery life is dropping. A clear trend.

Phones with notable battery life:
Samsung M51, iPhone 13 Max, Samsung xCover Pro 6, Sony 10 mk IV, iPhone 13 Mini, Sony XZ1c, iPhone SE
With that all said, there is another trend that is observable. As hardware gets more efficient, it seems software gets less efficient. Emails, Websites, Apps, and the Operating System just gets more bloated over time. In particular, social-media apps are pretty nasty. Applying an AdBlocker not only makes your device run faster, smoother, but also cooler and longer. I think the peak of the two was around 2016 after we got 8nm lithography, Cortex-A73 processor, 3500mAh battery, new-gen OLED/IPS displays, Android 5.1 Operating System... just before things got more and more bloated. The silver-lining is that it's not entirely gone, you can hack your device to run a more efficient kernel, less bloated OS, running MODs which stop Apps from running lots of (useless) background tasks for advertising, profiling, and tracking. It would be even BETTER if we could combine that with a User Removable Battery, but it's literally not an option available from OEMs except the only one I quoted above.
