Faster changing is a by-product of smartphones having small battery's with short battery life being so bad in the first place a smartphone needs too be changed more than once in a single day
A bigger battery and better processor that is more power efficient would fix this issue

This because you assume Chinese products were bad
Chinese products in smartphone is now beating korean and american. Look at the charging speed, the korean & American can only fight back with black campaign. Look at how many comment keep coming up in here to say fast charging is bad.
The only reason USA play dirty because it lost.
And this chip alliance will make us as the customer to lose.

The entire planet's population is around 8 billion, of which less than 2bil. live in functioning, proper democracies. Does that mean that democracy is somehow irrelevant?
Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are full democracies (based on the latest "Democracy Index" research) - free, functioning, prosperous. Denying that plays into the same ridiculous, generalizing, orientalist rhetoric that has been pushed for decades.
If anything, democracy is more at danger in the West. Look at the US and the SCOTUS limiting basic human rights (abortion), look at Sweden, France, and Italy and their saddening right-wing descent.
In American-speak, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan are no less Western than, say, France, or Canada. In their constitutions, in their industrialized development. and so on.
I'll be the first to call out copyright infringement and human rights issues in China, but don't use China to draw sweeping, generalizing conclusions. Asia has an issue with democracy, but that doesn't mean there aren't democracies in it. Let's not act like the entirety of Europe is democratic - look at the Balkans, or Eastern Europe as an example.

There processors are rather common in generic tv box's tablets netbooks
The Chinese allwinner processors are rather common in them Often 28n and 32bit but the newer ones are getting a lot better and are 64bit
Getting back too smartphones
The Chinese unisoc processor are already getting put into a lot of smartphones and selling well
Mostly the power effectively is main problem with them and some compatibility issues with some apps is main problem with them

(5% defect... As good as TSMC & Samsung)
The chinese can also made the 14nm & 12nm, but I don't know the success rate.
The thing is, because the fight only mention the smartphone, we're all too focused on the smartphone.
The real fight is in car, train, aeroplane, CE (Consumer electronic) such as TV, Refrigerator, Washing Machine..... The chinese can produce all of the chip for this without problem.
Thus,
if the blocade work,
the chinese will only have a stepback in smartphone.
they're smartphone will use 12nm or 14nm chip.
but in all other things,
the usa and their ally will lost big time.

My only worry is taxs and input fees the standard anti consumer practice
as too why we can never have good stuff
The west is only blocking cutting edge technology from China and some stuff needed for manufacturing equipment
If the Chinese can mess production and produce chips even bad ones cheap enough I think they still win
As low as the Chinese completely win on pricing being clearly much cheaper
Then I think the Chinese will win

Unless some meteorite dropped just into China and sparks a new energy race specially to them to lead (like Wakanda), US has used several upper hands; above and under table means.
