30 January 2023
UFS 4.0 will be used only for higher 256GB capacity model. There may be other cut backs as well.

The Galaxy S line used to be the best of the best but in different form factors. Ever since the S21, the "base" models have been getting downgraded. Just buy an iPhone.

[deleted post]😂 Keep telling yourself that while you spend thousands on Samsung's underwhelming phones, buddy.

          Or have better upgrades.
They are likely to even copy Apple by using last gen soc soon.

Demon Slayer, 30 Jan 2023That's irrevant because i saved everything on the card... moreIf you are content with the transfer speed of SD card, then whether the base S23 uses UFS3 or UFS4 is irrelevant as even UFS2 speed is faster than SD card. UFS3 is sufficient for modern smartphone usage. USF4 on higher storage tiers makes sense for people who wants to transfer large files.

              950 USD S23 vs 1100 USD S20 (after inflation).
              Thats 150 USD price difference.

So its understandable if S20 had higher resolution than S23.

Don't give me that inflation nonsense. You mean to tell me that the company who literally manufactures its own displays has made absolutely zero efficiency gains in manufacturing over the past 3 god damn years?

Meanwhile other companies using Samsung's own displays have managed to put better displays in newer models equally priced in comparison to their older ones?

                Typical Samsung fanboy.

Of course S20 had better resolution compared to S23.

Considering that we don't have microSD slots now, a 128GB version of a flagship is just a thing of past itself.
Forget speeds, the capacity itself is of past.

Don't they realise that 128 GB internal is something from 2016?? Its 7 years now. Then why don't they give microSD from the past?

One of recent Qualcomm soc came with shortcomings after two amazing efficient soc like 845 and 835 (one if the first arm soc used in several notebooks).

Yeah 810 wasn't good either, but it was that mainstream like 801. Only few models had the soc including s5 us edition, Xperia z5.
