128GB Samsung Galaxy S23 to use slower UFS 3.1 storage

UFS 4.0 will be used only for higher 256GB capacity model. There may be other cut backs as well.

                What's this? I thought the base and plus versions were supposed to be identical except for the size...

                  Considering majority of Android are still on UFS2, and many are still on eMMC, even UFS3 imo is still alright. I doubt people would be transferring large files on a regular basis on these phones. UFS3 or 4 won't make your TikTok load faster.

                  At least Galaxy S have USB3 speed USB-C port, unlike that fruity phone.

                    Samsung is taking out features instead of beefing it up to be on top of competitions! Shame on them.

                    Even "gaming" phones like the Red Magic 8 Pro (global) is full featured supports WiFi 7, UFS 4.0, LPDDR5X, huge battery size, fast charging and even a 3.5 head phone jack on top of all that... 16/512 for the feakin' same price of the base S23!!

                    Reminds me how good was Huawei a few years ago when they shocked everyone with their super speed SFS instead of UFS in Mate phones, even though they didn't mention anything about it in their campaigns nor taking any extra charge for it!

                    Whoever buys S23 base should check if it even has latest LPDDR5X RAM (as samsung claims!).

                      Yet price is still going higher, despite some people being confident that base version would've had a higher price if it had come with 256gb. S23+ got the same price bump yet base version is 256.

                      The loser, is always the customer...

                        No upgrade since s20 series 😐🤦

                                calling S23 regular as flagship is a mistake.


                                Scamsung (a scammer of Samsung) needs to stop reusing their old flagship to look like new.
