1. Mali is here for years, its as old as snapdragon, Galaxy SII from 2011 had Mali 400, from s2 to S22 every year Mali appear in Galaxy S devices.
2. Its not true that half Samsung use snapdragon, only Us version use that, and some years like 2015 All S series used Exynos (Mali) only recently Samsung used Snapdragon in more markets, Even Home Country like Korea they used to get Exynos.
3. not just Mediatek use Mali, Kirin, Exynos, Unisoc, Rockchip and others, most of time Adreno Marketshare isnt even 30% if Mali is more than Half it means more devices are shipping with Mali than any other Gpu out there.
So your comment ist true, go around the more you want you know the truth.

More people to build tweaks, less time it takes, more accurates they are.
Even when Qualcomm released bad soc like 888 or 8 Gen 1, you've got tons of flagships with these!
Mediatek's flagship soc appears last year with D9000 (if yo except commercial failure of X30...this one had PowerVR GPU)
Developpers get interest in Mediatek ago since Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Interest in Exynos was low because half of Galaxy S used Snapdragon...and Exynos are hated because Samsung's process lead to throttling issues.
You've got a 10 years old community for Adreno and a maybe 3 years old for Mali.
Plus Adreno comes from AMD (Qualcomm bought AMD's mobile division...Adreno is an anagram of Radeon), first developpement were the same on both.
...hmmm...try to run emulators on PowerVR...it's a nightmare! That's not bad GPU! But community is even smaller!

Hemedans, 15 Feb 2023Man am out, because i have already answer this Question doz... moreTry a real game such as Genshin Impact! You will see 9200 is close to 8 Gen 2!...Snapdragon 695 will maybe run it with low detail! 695 is maybe close to Dimensity 700 or 810 nothing more.
Ok I will give you an exemple to make you understand what is proprietary!
Nintendo's "Mode 7" on Super NES.
This is an exemple of proprietary.
This is not OpenGL!
This is not Vulkan!
It's on Super NES Drivers!
You can emulate it with CPU, it works on any device, but it's the bad way...rendering 3D effect with CPU is absurd...results are horrible framerates and high power consomptium.
You can emulate it with GPU, you have to do low level tweak to let OpenGL or Vulkan understand the "Mode 7"...as it is Low level, the tweak is not the same on Mali and on Adreno.
If the tweak isn't ready on Mali, Dimensity or Exynos will do CPU emulation...and can be slower than a Snapdragon 695.
That's why some games runs fine and some others don't too.
Imagine the tweak for "Mode 7" isn't available, if the game doesn't use this mode, it will run fine!
What is so hard to understand?
There's no problem on OpenGL and Vulkan drivers on Mali! There can be problem on emulation, they're not linked to OpenGl and Vulkan drivers.

And 99% of Android Oems cheat Benchmarks so if device score higher in Benchmark it means Nothing it just means Oem pre configure their device to score better in that benchmark, we reached stage Benchmark owner demand Oems to work with them so that Oem can optimize their device for that benchmark.
What you want is real life perfomance, you dont buy phone to run Bemchmarks, you buy to run your favourite apps.

- independant developers build this with tweaks.
if you want to test qualcomm's and mali's drivers use have tons of benchmarks and android gamesl...all works perfectly on both!
qualcomm's and arm provide vulkan, opengl or even directx drivers!

2. I never said All games dont work with Mali its just Iferior to Adreno, even Sd 662 run that game without tweaks, i saw video you post and you can clearly see aggressive frame skipping there.
3. Same guy you linked have plenty of videos were G95 struggle in Same Emulator same device

Its not tweak if they were just Tweaks why every Emulator when come out same issue happens?
Now we have Custom Drivers which developers improve on Qualcomm work they run everything better from Emulation to Normal games. This Clearly show its Driver issues.
Also there are thousands of example weaker Snapdragon cpu run games better than faster Mali based devices. You can continue to live in Denial.

Tweaks to make run a game for a device with proprietary drivers and GPU on a différent device with a différent GPU and standard API (OpenGL and Vulkan)
Without this proper tweak, the game doesn't work fine!
Judging devices on emulation is crazy!
On Citra, now, tweaks (the ones for Vulkan) are ready and run fine on Mali...
Even a Helio G90T is able to run Citra properly.
Believe what you want, but stop lying to people about devices that don't interest you! I see you on every article about Mediatek!

1000 points for an X2? These were in the 1300 range when it launched
3500 multi? MTK itself bragged about scores above the 4000

Making ... moreSince companies starting raising the prices all over the place and cheapening on the SoC they use/put(we see that more often on the mid/lower part).
Thats the reason most people didnt want Exynos,since it underperformed compared to the Snapdragon(Samsung A or S series for example).
Or Google Tensor chip in flagships underperforming compared to other Snapdragon or Dimensity chips, like we see in this article, while on the other hand being awesome for mid tier phones like Pixel 6A.

Considering you usually get same specs for less money with Chinese brands, 2 or 1 year of less support is understandable and it boils down to what's more important to you, price to performance ratio or longevity.
