I cant wait X90 Pro review :) I dont care D9200 or Qgen2, both are absolutly prefect. I just want this phone, coz for me its best flagship right now (Europe) .. amazing 1" senzor + V2 custom chip. Perfect BOE E9 display with PWM (hello Oneplus 11) and i really hope very good battery life. Thats all what i want.

Rock, 12 Feb 2023Very disappointing..! I hope it is efficient Cpu yes, because they dont use A710 which is not good, but Gpu Adreno 740 is super efficient, in Geekerwan test Immortalis use 12W while Adreno 740 just 7/8W.

This year QC really improved their 8G2 compared to 8G1.
While performance of 8G1 was impressive but it was not that efficient, even 2 year old 865 had better performance/wattvthan 888 or 8G1.
With 8+G1 QC fixed the efficiency issue.

But it was 8G2 that really changed the game.
The extra performance core turned out to be surprisingly good for efficiency also.so overall 8G2 is much better than 8G1 in every aspect,be it performance or efficiency or thermal stability.
Now 8G2 has slightly less powerful CPU but vastly superior GPU than already impressive Apple A16.

But all this doesn't mean that this D9200 is bad in any aspect.
Its manufactured on same node with slightly lower clocks.so efficiency wise 8G2 & D9200 should be pretty close along with slightly lower performance on D9200.
But being 5-10% than 8G2 doesn't make much of difference.
But we know D9200 is going to be less popular this year because of 8G2 is good this year & in general preference of manufacturers to QC chips.
But i really wish to see D9200 be used in more smartphones because this keeps healthy competition in flagship category that eventually lead us to better product overall.

To all people bashing D9200 is inferior & it shouldn't be used,I must say that Mediatek is only good competitor of QC at present times.so if mediatek is pushed out of the game then it'll be tragic because then QC would enjoy Monopoly in Androids & it'll lead all of us to dark ages just like in the absence of competition from AMD,Intel showed almost no improvement in CPUs for years.

It should consume less power watt. But can you test for that ?

One of the important metric is price. Mediatek & Qualcomm should price their products competitively too.

As a consumer, I'm just happy, and hope to buy the best (SD 8G2 or D92000) with affordable price
