With sane chip you either get more performance or more battery life but not both. Some OEMs used that trick to showcase battery life. With TSMC you get 100hr+ battery life without much throttling.

Am not Camera guy cant judge much there. Also Tensor in 6A can somehow sustain perfomance 80% is okaish not midrange level but can be good in day to day task.

You have video showing OP 10 pro vs 10T, red magic 7 vs 7s, Xiaomi 12 vs 12s so we can compare with Gsmarena Test?

It can't match A52s battery life. It can't match A52s camera sensor size either. A52s takes much better photos no matter what untrained GSMarena and YouTube reviewers eyes see.

2022 there were 6 phones if am not mistaken with sd 888 and majority of them have excellent battery life, better than majority of sd 8+ gen 1 device and can rival sd 8 gen 2 devices.
This is Realme GT 2 sd 888 device
https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/22/realme-gt2/battery/-1200/gsmarena_300.jpg
115H endurance, 18H browsing and 22H of video playback.
That score is really good like any midrange and beat many flagship, how realme manage to get it? Answer is page 4 of review in 3dmark stress test it sustain only 68% perfomance.
Battery life of flagship goes parallel with throttling, these new cpu use as much as 12W you can never ever get good battery life without throttling.
Check page 4 of every sd 8 gen 2 and sd 8+ gen 1 devices most of them have been throttled around 60 to 70% thats the secret of good bAttery life.
For more technical information check Geekrwan video, He measured Cortex A510 cores were using 2W, for comparison A55 use 0.5 to 0.7W, is there any Node out there which can reduce power by 300% answer is No, if you are lucky its just 20 to 30%, so to make A510 give same battery life as A55 you need to throttle it.

I think OEMs realize 7 gen 1 and 780 are Samsung made hence poor that's why they tend not to use it. They learned it the hard way in past 2 years with 888 and 8 gen 1.
Unsurprisingly, Apple made most of it's gains in past 2 years when Android phones had poor performance and efficiency due to Samsung chips. Only 870 was good. Before that, things were quite close during the 855 and 865 era.
2021 and 2022 were the worst years to buy a flagship phone. Finally things are changing with TSMC.

Hemedans, 10 Mar 2023This isnt true and i doubt you guys even read Gsmarena revi... moreYou're wrong. Just compare the battery life of flagships before and after TSMC switch. I think almost all the flagships containing 8 gen 2 and even 8+ gen 1 has battery life easily exceeding 100hrs mark in gsmarena test. Compare that with 8 gen 1, 888 and Exynos phones, some struggled to even get to 85hrs. S23 with only 200mAh more scores 16hrs more than s22 in endurance test. This clearly shows TSMC chips use much less power for given performance and much more efficient. Efficiency positively correlates with sustained performance if we keep cooling mechanism the same.

A710 is bad core it doesnt matter who make it, it has been Tested in Both Samsung and Tsmc node and both of them it perform bad.
Also both sd 8+ gen 1 and sd 8 gen 2 doest have better sustained perfomance than 8 gen 1, this is a myth people keep repeating here time to time without proof.
I dont have time later i may provide links but check device from same oem in Gsmarena review with these soc.
1. Oneplus 10 pro vs 10T
2. Red Magic 7 vs 7s
3. Xiaomi 12 vs 12s etc
You can see 8 gen 1 is slightly better than 8+ in sustained task.
You have Thinkpad phone now at Homepage review with below average sustained perfomance, remember these are flagship with better cooling and premium materials what happen when you use same core X2 and A710 in midrange? Its going to be disaster.
