So yes. Global versions will have 4 android versions and 5 years of security patches.

If you buy flagship it is pretty much given for 3 or 4 years it will be top of the crop phone. Look at those shitty Samsung phones there is barely any difference between S10 and S23. If you not a cheapskate does not mean you understand the market. Replacing every year a flagship phone is more of the bragger move than anything else, you litterly get no benefits from it.

Only few eople keeps their phones for longer because last thing you want to experience is having a very updated software with very outdated hardware ubable to run even most basic apps.
Dunno where you got that crap assumtion but is tottaly wrong.

I had S10 for 4 years and it still chews through everything and this is exynos 9820 version and 865 is definitely faster. Smartphones reached the point there they are so powerful there is really hard to improve things with them. I got OnePlus 11 now, 16gb version, if it will not last 4 or 5 years will be very disappointed, considering sd 8 gen 2 is absolute monster of the chipset.

Unless i really like the phone i'm using and see no phones worth upgrading to, i don't keep them for more than a year and a half
I'm not poor or a cheapskate to need to limit myself to aging technology for multiple years
