Good to see people ditching Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi is not an ethical company. Several fraud cases are ongoing for them in India.

IpsDisplay, 17 Mar 2023This quote from the article below makes me feel the writer ... moreA lot buyers are brand conscious in India and they prefer to buy apple or samsung when they have big money to spend on a premium phone while Xiaomi is often seen as budget brand

They're not struggling to sell phones, they're just not selling them in large quantities in the premium segment. Brand value plays important role there. So yes the article isn't wrong

This quote from the article below makes me feel the writer is ignorant to Indian customers:

"It seems that Xiaomi is struggling to adapt to the growing and maturing Indian market. Only 1% of Xiaomi's sales are premium phones, while Samsung's sales are 13% higher-end devices"

Xiaomi was never seen as a premium brand they paid a huge psychological penalty for being known as value for money... So the claims of them struggling to adapt makes no sense

Especially when they same article highlights that most of the market share is dominated by volume of budget smartphones

Samsung is better now. I didn't expect that much improvement. One UI is a huge improvement. TouchWiz was laggy and unstable. Go for Samsung. You will be amazed.

As xiaomi smartphone owner from EU, I can say that xiaomi lost it that made them special it's their pricing. 🙃 So xiaomi's sales decline is inevitable. 🙂

Stock android should be called that because 98% of people are everything else but no tech geeks and needs most basic things to work their device and have no passion or knowledge of so called bloatware thus is not worth for them.
UI is good only for rest 2% people.
Anything which samsung offers was already preinstalled by google and is usually better.
                        Thats a siad fact.

Man in past things were made to last forewer even a shoes 100 years ago lasted 5-10 times more than shoes of today. because most things were handmade and with equal to handfmade quality.
Nowdays any company just wants to sell and they do everything to sell as much as possible.
So once your warranty goes off prepare for replacement.
In many electric and electronic devices exist something like a kill switch to make sure company sells and this kill switch usually activates one week or up to one month after your warranty goes off.
Know several brands which comes preinstalled with this feature.
Good example is Electrolux or Candy brand.

Not suprised, why would you choose a china phone over Samsung

Zero, 16 Mar 2023Watch Apple launching the SE4 taking all India and winning ... moreThe current SE is $600 here. The successor will be likely more than that. What makes you think people will choose a close to $700 entry level ios device over a full fledged android flagship for the same price ? iPhone SE still comes with 64GB which is what entry level android phones have. So in that case, why would someone even consider a SE ? apple will probably price it like a mini flagship. All that for a tiny phone with tiny battery and 60 hz HD screen. Will be a complete flop. Apple needs to price the SE competitively or improve the specs on the next version

Zero, 16 Mar 2023Watch Apple launching the SE4 taking all India and winning ... moreThe only way iPhone SE4 could become a success in India, or any developing country for that matter, is if Apple will price it correctly.
Since all phone prices have gone up recently, I have a bad feeling that the iPhone SE4 will not cost below 600EUR. Especially if it will be similar to an iPhone 13 or 14, like the rumours suggest. At this price, I think people will just go for cheaper variants in Android.
                                  Time will tell.

IPhone is just different ecosystem. You cannot compare a landline telephone to iphone and say it's cheaper. They are different products with different target users with different requirements.
That said my opinion is Galaxy S or Notes are more premium than Iphone, even I would say next Gen Iphone.

But now, to be honest, Samsung phones have bloatware too. Of course, it can be uninstalled or disabled, but still, it is there.
At least Samsung cheaper models do not have tons of ads, like Redmi and Poco phones. Also, One Ui is miles better than MiUi, on cheaper models. And Samsung software support actually exists, compared to the software support of Redmi and Poco phones. Which is lottery.

The only phones that I found with zero or minimal bloatware are Pixel phones and iPhones.
