Well, they're slowly adopting the perfect 21:9 Sony aspect ratio standard. Looking back to the Sony models in the past 4 years, one can easily see how they were visionary back then.

There's still enough space on the front to give the full 21:9 view, especially when the front camera relies on motorized pop-up mechanism.

            I can't help but wonder about Sony being ahead of the curve for so long by putting a 21:9 screen panel on a modern smartphone. With more people preferring large screens, it's no surpise that modern smartphones will eventually become taller.
