kevriveroc, 19 May 2023I mean generic from the specs, not generic from the looks. ... moreOh, in that way.. Well, while I agree the price could be lower, around 400-450, beside the battery I see nothing wrong with the specs, even more I am really glad they kept the SD slot and the audio jack. But as we said, better let's wait for the review, if there will be one.

7 gen 1 is not only old, but it's also made by Samsung. Just like the 888 and 8 gen 1, they are huge downgrades in performance and battery life when compared to TSMC made parts. Really bad choice there for a unit to revive the brand with.
Then again, maybe they don't care anymore than just slapping their name on some ODM design (like Nokia, BlackBerry and Alcatel). They sold all their phone design employees to Google already.

The rest of China will not understand it either. My original point though was more about the source being stated as being in Taiwanese. There is no written Taiwanese regardless of whether you call it Hokkien, Taiwanese or Fujian language. Anyway, I think I've gone a bit off track from the phones😊

Processor is a bit old and underpowered for the price (SD 7 Gen 1 is basically a SD 778G in disguise), display looks like a run-of-the-mill 1080p 120 Hz AMOLED, battery is small, charging is slow, cameras don't seem that interesting (it seems to use that cheap 8 MP ultrawide sensor that so many other phones use and doesn't take the greatest of pictures, even for midrangers).

Overall there's no spec of feature that could make anyone really want this phone or get interested in it.

Really good news. I loved myy HTC HD2. Wecome back, HTC.

According to Wikipedia, that small proportion of people in Fujian province is over 27 million, while in Taiwan are only 13 million native speakers of this language.

As I understand, the difference is more like between British English and American English, but in the end it is still called English and not "americanese".

I am all in for Taiwan independence and international recognition though.

People from the mainland wouldn't be able to understand this langauge at all at all, maybe with the exception of a very small proportion of people in Fujian province. I'm not sure what they refer to the language as in mainland China though. Of course though, people in Taiwan also speak Mandarin Chinese as well and that is the main langauge of Education and general usage. It is mostly the older generations that speak Taiwanese (probably some of the younger generation can't speak very fluent Taiwanese)

I suppose all languages originate though from other languages but we still give them different names. English for example originates from Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands

There is a false advertisement when showing cable charging from roughly 50%-80% quickly while charging from 80%-100% also equally as fast but with only with 15W juice compared to all other wireless competitor of 50W.
