It not as deep as having software/algorithm processing like some oem.

And what can Canon offer? Smartphone photography relies more and more on software and machine learning, while the sensors are made mainly by Sony and Samsung. What can Canon bring to the table? Just their brand? LOL

            I would bet on Tecno

basically looking for free marketing and money by selling their logo?

ob, 20 May 2023Sony? I mean, are u sure to list it in the article as a can... moreSure thing actually, Sony is a company without software engineers and fans who love it for their amazing games(hitech software), meaning users buy these only to show their family members. However Motorola/Caterpillar are very good at executing.

Sony cooperate whit Zeiss so... Exclude this Canon.

                                Realme is the best option.

I'd like to see Canon x Nokia or Canon x Huawei partnership. Honor and Motorola are also good potential partnerships as well.

Samsung can benefit THE MOST from Canon. Samsung's oversharpened, oversaturated and blotchy blacks/shadows mess in its low light photos even with night mode 'ON', badly needs Canon's postprocessing expertise. With Canon's photographic expertise, I'm sure Samsung's photos will be able to finally match Google's Pixel 7/7 Pro photos especially as regards getting the correct exposure right almost all the time and getting the correct balance of noise reduction, sharpening and saturation. As it is, Samsung phones tend to have more tendency towards over exposure especially in foliage and shadow areas, oversharpening, oversaturation, and excessive noise reduction in low light photos making everyday things look like they have 'beauty mode' applied. Textured walls and surfaces look fuzzy/hazy/foggy and wrinkled sofas look like they have edema. It's really annoying. You can't unsee it once you have owned both a Pixel 7/7Pro and Samsung S23+/S23 ultra and you start comparing Samsung's Night Mode with the Pixel's Night Sight for the exact same scenes.
