Maybe Canon & Motorola will team up on the camera end. The consumer will benefit from that venture if they do.

Canon should explore options with Nokia. They plan to up their stand on flagship killers. After the launch of Magic Max, they maybe in the upper league.

Periscopes are built by LG Innotek and use taiwanese lenses.

The edge 40 pro/x40 is on a similarly level to other phones in that price category. Certainly they are not the best but they are also not that far behind phones with similar camera hardware this year. I would like to see them use better main sensors rather than partner with anyone. I don't think the Hasselblad partnership for Oppo or the Leica partnership for Xiaomi had made a big difference in terms of actual image quality. It's more the style of images, in terms of shodows and hdr and colours that these partnerships have focused on. I think Motorola might also be a bit small for this tyoe of partnership. Guessing Honor might be the most likely partner given most of the other bog Chinese brands already have partnerships

1) xperia does not use zeiss lens, which it is true. They just have zeiss coating. Sony representative told Phone Arena when 1ii was announced.
2) Zeiss does not make lenses for phones, also true. Same applies to leica and hasselblad.
3) Xperia sometimes use sony lenses, sometimes not. Periscope uses lenses from taiwanese company.
I feel sorry if you disagree with truth. It is about what happens, not what you want to be truth.

Canon can correct the yellow skin/excess of sharpening from iphones, excess of NR and bizarre colours of samsung and excess of contrast/sharpening of google.
Any of them would benefit. Desoite the fact these " features" make certain youtubers happy ... 🤔
