This poll must be some kind of the insult, both Mark V are pretty much the worst phones released this year following in its disgraceful predecessors foots. This year Sony made cameras much better than awful 1 Mark lV, but it's still 1 year behind the competition which already having 1inchers . 10 Mark V is litterally an insult, no one should ever buy this crap for 500 euros. 1400 euros for Mark V? Tell Sony to stop smoking :)

Based on the comments here, Sony, and its users, still have major issues with its UI, software/ security updates, post-processing or little to no processing, thermals/ throttling/ sustained performance, high prices, low market share/ revenue, loss of certain features, availability, repairs, and remote control design… Am I missing something?

I don't really care much about longer updates, especially for people who buy phone through carriers and always return it after one or two years.

Why messages are not getting through. No insults or anything else..... Yet GSM Arena remains the best mobile test site. I support the only Japanese brand in Europe and I will take the 1 V in khaki green. I buy every top of the line except the Pro series unless this has a bigger screen. During the year I would also take the new headphones WF-1000XM5 perhaps better than the new Technics EAH-AZ80.

Well overpriced 1V and totally useless 10V... Easy choice, never. Let's hope 5V can do better.
But probably not... S23 still a winner.

Upgrading from 5II
Sony fills the hole that LG left behind, but I wish they'd provide a notification shade like LG did, I miss that old design where it was possible to change the brightness without having to swipe down twice, and was much more space-efficient and consistent with font size settings. The new one is trash.
The one issue I had with the 5II is that it became buggy after upgrading to android 12, and google added a margin for punch holes and islands even though the xperia has none, so there is just a lot of weirdly empty space.
The thing I don't feel so hot about the 1V is the screen being 4K. It probably won't make much of a difference visually from the 5II's 1080p but will certainly use more power. I also wish Sony would put in a more capable DAC like LG used to do.
Looking forward to 4K120 video on all lenses, the 85~125mm variable lens, that texturing on the sides and back, the new camera apps, and longer usage time with a more efficient processor.
While the 5 feels better in the hand, I came to desire a larger screen for playing content and the look of the 1V is irresistible too while the 5V may retain the same rounded sides exterior which is okay but not as cool.
