As usual, this puts Android to shame.

-Trix-, 03 Jun 2023Meanwhile in Android world "New data shows Android ... moreMeanwhile android 5 could be more feature rich compared to upcoming iOS 20 lol.

But this man is hilarious. I mean he suddenly wakes up from day dreaming and makes a new comment instantly in an article where he might made a comment already for nothing.

I've no problem in updating Android, except that they're stealing all our (even offline) data by adding PRIVACY invasive features. Even if you delete Google account, the condition remains, everyone is being profiled.
Recently, I'm getting very highly accurate youtube recommendations, which means like a virus, they're inside our phones and other devices too, scouting even offline content. And there's no choice.

The paid & private Android version by that Indian CEO, never happened....

Problem is, no one proper is talking about it. Not even GSMArena.
I'm not even from US, nor do I intend to visit or stay there, why does Google spy so much?

It doesn't, as long as you get security upgrades you're fine. Even older androids have more features than even the newest iOS.

It's irrelevant if you're able to run the latest OS, it's all about features + security. This constant hunt for the greatest OS number, no matter what it represents (in the case of iPhone less features than even 3-4 year old androids), was always ridiculous.

This comment section..... isn't it time for both parties to accept that both operating systems have their own merit? Both have pros and cons? It's a matter of preference and what you prioritize. It's been over 15 years...

It puts Android to shame? No, really!? It's almost like the new update policy of many companies has not been able to take effect yet.

kevvv, 04 Jun 2023At least on PC you're not forced to install your games... moreAnd for anyone who wants to be able to choose to that degree that is great. However, as an analogy to the old (boring, tired, played out yet never sodding ending) iOS vs Android debate, it is totally pointless. Actually, that is also true for the equally annoying pc vs console debate. And it’s because it ignores one rather obvious fact, anyone who wants the so called ‘freedoms’ Android offers will simply buy a dam android!

iOS has enjoyed a solid decade and a half plus of some rather stonking success levels despite being what Android fans clumsily call a prison. Funny thing is I don’t recall prisons ever being optional, oh we may use terms like ‘lock in’ sure, but that is only a state of mind as opposed to any actual limitation of choice.

Simply put, those that want to side load from the darkest corners of the web, swap icon packs every 5 minutes, and have fart noises as notification sounds are free to pick up an android whenever the desire takes them.

That they don’t and are content to live in the functional, useful and entirely optional ‘prison’ that is iOS suggests (to me at least) that those things just don’t hold that much of an appeal. This despite how much time the droids fans waste going on and on and on about it.

And like I said, same goes for the PC v console thing, you listing all those stores hasn’t moved me one bit to suddenly swap out my PS5 for some gaming rig.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2023IOS is not as locked as some Android users believe. An aver... moreAt least on PC you're not forced to install your games on one specific app like PSN store, Xbox store, or Nintendo eShop. You literally have freedom to choose whether you want to install your game from Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Store, or any installment website if you don't like launcher mechanism.

kevvv, 04 Jun 2023> I don’t know why you join Android World One keyword: ... moreIOS is not as locked as some Android users believe. An average user (which means majority of users) will have no problem using either an Android or an iPhone in day to day tasks.
What you are describing are power or tech users who like to install custom roms, customize their phones on weekly basis or install apps from outside Google store.
For the average user more important is that everything works as it should.

Look at it from the perspective of PC gaming vs console gaming. The PC being Android phones. Yeah, PC is more powerful and more customizable, but the consoles just work without any extra things needed (and in many times they work better). The complexity of the PC is also its downsize. Same as Android.

One keyword: Freedom. Freedom to install, Freedom to customize, and the most important thing: Freedom to choose. Does that make Android less secure? No lol. Have you ever heard about Samsung Knox? Or have you ever heard about GrapheneOS?
