Let's be positive for a sec and celebrate that we've still got Sony around for the forseeable future, given that they still provide a pathway for "old-skoolers" like myself - having seen phones come with the microSD slot like the Samsung J600 from 2007 (first ever was a Motorola V220 w/o it!) and bringing fan-faves to the foray, giving me a proper upgrade path as I and many others go along and change phones :3

[deleted post]I'm trying to be as friendly as possible with most people here, while also triple checking, that what I'm about to comment is actually correct.
For the most part it seems like I'm doing a great job, but sometimes I can still be wrong and even I can get misunderstood as well. It is what it is, humans aren't perfect.

I own Samsung for years, yet I know that the top smartphone vendor From 2013 till now is Apple. From early 2000 to 2010 it was Nokia. I'm old enough to know that Nokia phones were mainly symbian run (see link) They were smartphones while sony launches dumbphones at that time.

Good. They should keep making phones. Sony, LG & HTC were some of the best smartphone makers, and we already lost two of them. We can't lose Sony too.
I hope Sony finds more success with their oncoming products. Good companies deserve support!

Sony went into a joint venture with Ericsson 2001 but Sony has made phones from before that under own brand from 1997.
Sony --> Sony Ericsson --> Sony thats how it went

They joined forces with Ericsson in 2001, but they did make phones way before that.
