And only a small number of companies like Motorola and Samsung (they even just did that on their flagships) that implemented the Desktop Mode on Android.

Anonymous, 26 Jun 2023Some people on here will buy new cheap phones every 18 mont... moreBut heyy, that's actually not really a bad idea.
Let's say you'll buy a $250 phone every 18 months. Compare it to a $1000 phone that you will use for 5 years/60 months.
Buying the $250 phone 4 times and it will costs you the same as the $1000 flagship phone and it can lasts you 18 x 4 = 72 months.
Sure midrangers always have less feature than flagships, but we're talking about longetivity, right?

              6 series: Dual A7xx + Hexa A5xx
              7 series : Quad A7xx + Quad A5xx

7+g2 ruined everything. Too late now to fix.

Question is the pricing? As it is "supposedly" XX gonna be the replacement/successor of budget socs SD4XX series, will it cost the same or close to them?

Otherwise if it's gonna 2x of that, meh! Just get a Dimensity based phone for budget 5G phones.

LPDDR5x, UFS 3.1, and USB 3.2 Gen 1, all in what is effectively an entry-level SoC? Give wired video output and Desktop Mode support on sub-$300 phones with this SoC, and they can easily be the only computer average consumers ever need. Anyone who always advocates the usage of Desktop Mode on Android smartphones can tell how crazy powerful, if not overkill, these modern SoCs are for average consumers.

Don't expect this to be as fast as Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 kids. It's not that type of chip.

I can easily bet no brand will ever put USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 and UFS 3.1 on a phone with this chipset. They'll keep putting eMMC 5.1 and USB-C 2.0.

blah blah blah .in the end this chip can't even beat sd 695 whats the point?

                                  since
                                  sd 8+ gen 2 around 1.2-1.7m antutu
                                  sd 7+ gen 2 around 900k-1m antutu
entry level chip should be around 500k-700k antutu

from what i see this entry lvl cpu around 250k-400k antutu

but no it will never reach 500k-700k.. because so many will upset 🤑....
