Looks like not managing at all literally everyone had it or still have.... basically design flaw and weak pin not even managing 5V 1A .. pathetic.. Never happened such thing on androids phones ...

[deleted post]Yeah, with that last act you've saved ten orphans.
    Very impressive 🤭

" a few are worried about the e-waste that will be created by the move ".

How? When you have a super compatible standard, you'll continue to use it further till its possible, am I right? If I have a USB-C charger, I will never dispose it off, simple.

If we implement this rule with a relaxed deadline, it will be a lot more convenient for the long term.
      Am I missing a point?

Since i am not apple user and times when i had my brand new Iphone 6 when i was living and working in England many years ago are long time gone.
HAd it for like 3 months and sold it because that so calle dIOS giving me the creeps.
Android is an user friendly open source OS compared to IOS which does nto work and refuse working with anything which does nto bear Apple logo on it.
Apple is good monopol but they wont win anything by selling very expensive.
Most people can barrely aford one device and thats usually the cheapest available just to show among friend they have for example SE 2022.
          But thats it.
Those people acts like they wear piece of godly artefact even most hlaf baked androids does lot more tricks. But thats the story for another time.
And i am not here for dehonesting the Apple.
I realy dont like them for many obvious reasons but will not force anyone to be like me.
Its their choice what to go and pick.

Well duh, of course most people agree it's an improvement because factually it is.

The problem stands with the EU forcing manufacturers on how they think the device should be built.

There is zero need to switch to USB C with the iPhone 15. All these laws take effect in 2025 so iPhone 16 needs to be USB-C but not the 15 series

AnonD-1104158, 13 Aug 2023NO it wouldn't have becsue they would do it long time ... moreBurned pins were mostly due to arcing during making and breaking connection. Once connection has been made, the pins are large enough to handle higher currents.

The main problem with iPhone refusing to switch to USB-C for a very long time is that they find it hard to make it profitable without looking like a bad person. For example, USB-C is already an established standard that's being used by lots of manufacturers, once Apple switch to USB C, they will open-up lots of 3rd-party adapters that they don't have control from get royalty fees. In short, Apple's accessory overpricing empire will just go down the drain unless otherwise they're too evil to put hard limits on USB-C and the people would still patronize them.
