Anonymous, 24 Aug 2023It all depends what a customer likes in a product. It'... moreOh please, preference or not, bigger bezels are a downgrade, and it's cheaper for Samsung to make as well, but they won't make the phone cheaper.
Yes, I prefer curved displays, but that has nothing to do with this, if I wanted a flat display, there are already basically bezelless flat display phones out there, and even the S23/+ are much better options.

I dont think they would go 3mm+. iPhone14pro has 2.17mm i guess. so if Samsung keeps FLAT display which is needed on new ultras for spen and screen protection tempered glass. they should keep it around 2.20mm or 2.30mm+ but below 3mm all sides.

Zuzuz, 24 Aug 2023And 79mm wide. Maybe if you have hands like shovels, maybe ... moreThe solution is not slimmer bezels but smaller phones. Even with no bezel, this couldn’t reach the dimensions of the standard S23

Those ancient people saying they don't mind big bezels can go ahead and buy themselves a 2017 budget phone but there is no way in hell that putting large bezels on a flagship phone worth thousands of dollars is a good idea .

Oh no, I don’t think we are going to survive that extra 0.24mm of bezel.
I‘m still on an iPhone with top and bottom bezels and this craze about fractions of a millimeter on bezels seems comical to me. Yet at the same time, nobody cares that phones have been getting thicker and especially heavier as time went by.

The design choice has simply regressed in recent years. They're literally going back with technology looks. I remember being left astonished at the futuristic and gorgeous looks of S9+, S8 edge, S20 and huawei models. These recent ugly design choices is because of the idiot influencers giving tech reviews

That's how it was with Nokia, Blackberry, HTC and so... moreI mean the other bezels are 3mm thick why don't they make the same as symmetrical as other two? I know edge display sometimes annoying but replacing it with thicker side bezels??
And why don't they use 10/12 bit display while other OEMs have used that instead of making a new joke about thick bezels?? I remember they're the always one who mocked apple, but they've gone the same way but way worse.

Downgrading the specs year by year...Why I'm saying this? Bigger bezels, Exynos in Europe, low performances compared to Huawei

I really don't see anything wrong with bezel. If anything, it keeps a cleaner profile than curved screen. Of course I'd love to see some bezel on the top and on the bottom as Sony and Asus does, but it's up to the OEM.

I like the big bezels as long as the screen is flat!
For me will be easier to put side protection cases!
