Your only market are the more reasonable, more knowledgeable non-loyalists to any brand so you have to release a phone that's either undercutting the competition or featuring more for the same price and the latest Zenfone imho is neither. I have a ZF8 and the ZF10 is not even a total upgrade (no autofocus on two cameras, no notification light).

And this is the reason we get news like this.

Enthusiast products will never sell well - Carl Pei's era of OnePlus and LG are long gone. But seeing ASUS not giving up on Zenfone gives me hope, niche products deserve a customer base, small or large.

And clearly Asus decided to do the same with their ROG line. And that's wise. Competing at the low end means very thin margins, and you probably won't be able to beat the Chinese in the end. You cannot compete with the Chinese in commodity products, plain and simple.
Why should I analyze what's going on in your country? I don't even know where you are from.

Come to think about it, both Zenfone 9 and ROG Phone 6 are still solid phones to use in 2023 since they use Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and it's a much needed improvement over the Samsung-fabricated 8 Gen 1. I don't see the need to upgrade if I got either model.
